I don't know what going on but this is the first time today, I've been able to visit and even now pages aren't loading up. Sorry if its all ready been mentiond what happening, but it's that bad pages wont load for me to read and I have to give up and leave. Which some people probably won't mind anyway lol

This is quite hard to say what the problem is. As it only seems to be affecting some people and not others, I wouldn't think that the problem lies with the site itself or with the server hosting the site.

I'm more inclined to think that it is related to your Internet Service Provider. I would think that there is a problem somewhere between your Internet Service Provider and the site's hosting provider.

As the Internet is a very complex thing, when a site is requested, it has to pass through several different routes and it could be that there is a blockage somewhere en route.

..but yet I could get through to other sites no problem..

It's very worrying indeed to think that my ISP could be fighting with BBfans' provider...

I'll never understand computers...

When you request a web page, the information has to travel through several different networks, so if there is some sort of holdup somewhere en route, then that will make the page load slowly or even not at all.

Each website requested will travel a different route to your computer depending on where it is hosted, so it is quite possible to have problems with some sites and not others, depending on the route the data travels. The problem could be at the hosting company of the site, or your ISP or somewhere else between the two.

As some users didn't have problems with the site, then it is unlikely to be the hosting company at fault. As you were able to get other sites okay, then it is unlikely to be your ISP. I would therefore think that it was somewhere between the two that was having problems.

There are several different networks for data to travel through and so I would think that other users who also had problems, their data probably has to pass through that same network.

It would also put the wind up the rest of us! How is 'active' defined? What if we sit on our bums all the time, but do the odd post - is that active? Would a few press-ups help?

I suppose you mean delete people who haven't viewed anything for the last couple of years or something...

I don't think that would make any difference to be honest.

I thought it was something to do with my computer as well! I reckon there must be some problems at the hosting company. Sorry about that folks.
