TASK FAILURE: Mutt Good Enough
Housemates learned today - after climbing through dog litter for an obstacle course dog show - that they had failed the Human Dog School task long ago.
Having completed the assault course, Housemates were told the result of their task.
On Day 1, two dogs failed to execute their trick. On Day 2, all four failed to herd their ducks in the allotted time. Only today, on Day 3, did they pass. However by then they had failed the overall task.
"I'm not going to do any more of these bloody things," fumed Derek.
Housemates were unaware they had failed when they were asked to perform a mucky task in the garden.
Anthony was the first little pup to scamper across the garden. Directed by his handler, Craig, first he had to negotiate a lamppost slalom, blindfolded, before digging into a pool of dog food to retrieve a bone.
Next up the doggie had to walk over a seesaw, then crawl through dog litter. Craig then led him onto a podium to pose for five seconds.
Finally he had to crawl under a dog bone obstacle where he was showered with water, before heading for the finish line.
Science's turn was made more difficult by Kemal's instructions. "This way, this way," he said, which isn't much use to a blindfolded dog.
Eugene and Orlaith managed to get through the course without too much fuss, but Makosi was in a terrible state as Derek led her round the course.
Once she had to dip into the dog food, she started crying uncontrollably. She then wailed throughout the rest of the course, sobbing her heart out until the task was over.
And then came the news. It was all for nothing. Shame.
