AYR'S booze free nightclub, The Ark, is set to mark the opening of its new premises with a triple acoustic set.

Allan McKinlay, Scott Nicol and Jonee Mackel will entertain scores of teen clubbers with their live sets at The Ark, which is now situated at the Citadel.

Former Big Brother champion Cameron Stout will also roll into town for the event, on Saturday, March 11.

Doors open at 7.30pm and entry is strictly for S4+ and costs.

What a great venue - and good artistes too. I thoroughly enjoyed my night. They had an 'open mic' session after Allan, Scott and Jonee had finished and it was just great!

The http://www.thirstforlife.org lent-tandem thingy is going ok - I almost blew it unwittingly the other night though. Gotta keep my wits about me, not least this weekend!

We have given up alcohol for Lent and found out that Sunday's aren't counted as it is a Feast Day, so we have 4 days to have a drink in. :D Also Cameron, The Annunciation is a Feast Day as well, so that's 5 Days. We double checked on the CofE website and 2 more just to make extra sure! It is hardest on Friday evenings when you feel like a nice glass of wine after a hard week's work! ::lol::

It is good to know you can do it though. I like wine, but it's also good to help lose weight though! I have lost 12 pounds (mainly in tears!!).

We said that we had to see it through or we would have to book in to AA LOL!

Our Curate did a fantastic Lent sermon and mentioned putting out your hand for that glass of wine.... we winced!
