TOMORROW SEES THE LAUNCH OF THE FIRST annual Scottish Sausage Week. You may have been unaware of this momentous event. It had also passed under the radar of all the Scottish butchers I spoke to last week.
Cameron Stout, who won Big Brother in 2004 and will be opening a Scottish Sausage Week event in Aberdeen (please form an orderly queue), says: "I thought that the big mystery for southerners was what a Scotsman wears under his kilt! I think we should extend our sympathies to anyone living south of the border who has never experienced the joy of Lorne sausage - and encourage everyone in Scotland to come along to their nearest Scottish Sausage Week venue and have one!"
