Scottish Sausage Week went off with a bang for sausage manufacturer Richmond, who used the event to consolidate its position as the number one brand in Scotland.
In a bid to raise further awareness and boost sales, Richmond gave away over 10,500 sausage sandwiches in Scottish Asda stores over the week, which took place 11-18 August.
The week-long activity was supported by a local PR campaign to drive consumers to the stores. A host of local celebrities – including
Miss Scotland Stephanie Willemse and
Big Brother 4 winner Cameron Stout were on hand to help raise an impressive £2,528 for children’s charity Children 1st.
