I'm afraid that if I lose any more weight, you won't be able to see me!! I am desperately trying to put it on!! That may sound easy to you, but to me it is very hard. I am eating all day long, but just can't seem to put the weight on. I can't physically eat any more!! Perhaps I could have some of the weight you have lost!!

I can't really add much as I'm a light weight varying from 10st 7 in the summer,or any other time of intense exercise ,to 11st ish in the Winter.

But a nutritionist could help with an eating plan to help you put on weight. Saying that if you went along to one of the well known slimming clubs they should if they know their stuff be able to help you increase your weight. They had someone a few years ago at the long club who's weight was too low and they were coming up with revised plans to help increase her weight. These days I think someone said she looked at least a couple of stone heavier though I think it was done without the help of the club.

I'm 6ft and when I left school I only weighed 9st 7lb despite consuming around 5000 calories a day ! But I was very active and was burning off everything I was eating. I doubt I was eating the right energy foods. In fact when I start cycling and Ice Skating I should eat differently to increase the energy levels and allow the muscles to develop correctly as everything I do is endurance based.

I'm assuming your in good health and there isn't a medical condition keeping your weight down.

Well I have always been thin (around 7.5 stone), but just recently I have been feeling nauseous and so haven't been eating so much as I was and have lost even more weight (now 6st 9lbs), so I went to the Doctor today and have been given some blood tests to get done and some tablets, then I have to go back again in 2 weeks.

Hopefully the tests will shed some light on the cause of the nausea and hopefully it's nothing serious.

Your weight is similar to a pro ice skater around 5ft 2-3" though it is on the low side even for them. Even more so if you don't do lots of exercise. Though as I said before I couldn't put weight on in my teens and even then it took a motorbike crash and month of low activity before the weight went on and I landed up at a slimming club to loose over a stone as my weight went up to over 12 stone which although more normal was something I was comfortable with.

Good luck ,I'm sure they'll be able to help.

I suppose I am a bit concerned, because all my Mum's family have died of stomach or bowel cancer.

Well I am only about 5ft 3ins but don't do much exercise.

I think the tablets the Doctor has given me are for ulcers. She said she wanted to see if they helped whilst waiting for the blood tests to come back and touch wood, so far, I think they may be helping, but I don't want to speak too soon.
