The C4 site says this about getting live feeds using RealOne...

Sign up now and get two live 24-hour video streams from the house in Broadband and Narrowband. Plus one audio feed and all of the clips on the BB site in Broadband quality.
BB fans without a Pass, can still watch clips in narrowband quality if they have installed the free RealOne Player.

That last bit there seems to say we can all get narrowband feeds for free but I can't seem to get anywhere even though I have RealOne installed (from last years BB).

Can anyone shed any light on this...

I wish they'd kick Real into touch...

I mean it's spyware, insists on registration, insists on taking over file associations (even if you tell it not to/manually reset them), insists on replacing every other media player you may have on your machine (and no matter what you tell it or Windows, it will reset its options on launch of the app to make sure).

Please, please, please use another method next year!

I agree with you Bukey, Real has and always will be a poor media player.

Read it again - it say's you can get free CLIPS... not the full feed.

I've signed up for the feeds and they're reasonable, I can block the other stuff they insist on installing (thankfully) and would be the first to complain if anything untoward popped up on my PC.

I have the 4Broadband pass - tried a download of this program - it does not work. It's created the INI file but every time I try to connect to a feed it says "A General Error Has Occured" and that's it.

Anyone care to convince me otherwise? I've got the RealOne player connected again now - which works. I've tried with and without RealOne active, still no joy.

I notice the paths in the INI file are hard coded, and Real have a habit of changing them if they feel like it.

How do we know this isn't some kind of hackers back door to our computer's too? The site it came from hardly looks 'official' or professional.
