Jon always looks happy when he is in the diary room
He is of course doing all this complaining, and jobs around the house and garden because he has made bets on different jobs, conversations, and diary room visits he will have in the house for his friends and workmates.
I remember in the first week, he told anyone still awake to listen Zzzzzz that his workmates would give money to charity every time he did one of the agreed bets.

His washing the kitchen floor for over 40 minutes the other day was one of the bets.
He will be laughing his head of at the support he has recieved from the viewers....
Because he doesn't really want their support, this is a game for him, his friends, and workmates.

Absolutely, I'd much rather that he was in there to try and make a name for himself through singing and dancing like previous BB contestants like Jonny and Kate and being desperate for fame like Tania, she's brilliant isn't she! I love all the people who just go in with plans to release a single etc. when they come out, they're so talented.

He is just being himself and not using BB as a short cut to fame and fortune.
I'm not that bothered who wins this year, but out of all of them, I think I'd be happiest if it was Jon

Imagine the other HMs having to live with the thought that they were less popular than the geeky Jon!

My nephew P***** his pants laughing at Jon. Not because 'he likes him' He is laughing at him, because he is so geeky.

Well of course he's gonna make some money out of it, why not when it's so easy. He said himself a couple of days ago you can get £1000 a night pulling pints at uni bars after BB. Would you turn that down? I know I wouldn't. It's not like he's gonna be trying to get his own chat-show etc. Unlike people like PJ, Jonny and Narinder he won't be clinging on to fame for dear life and will more than likely go back to his job in due time.

Which is part of his charm. Also sets him apart from other housemates for actually having a personality, albeit 'geeky'.

After their big discussion on marriage, Nush and Jon continued to put the world to rights.

"If you applied yourself," Jon told Nush, "to doing things that were purely selfish, you could be accomplishing great things. If, at this stage of your life, you put you first.

"I'm speaking from what I've done," he continued, "which is [to say] 'b****r going off and doing the Far East travelling thing...let's do career, let's get successful and then you can sort out the other bits and pieces.'"

"I know what you mean," replied a thoughtful Nush, "I'm thinking now about going to university quite seriously. The reason I can't go is 'cos I'm very poor. Very, very poor."

"Well, look on the positive," encouraged the Staines scientist, "this [Big Brother] will create opportunities. There is this thing, which is pulling pints behind uni bars for a grand a night. I reckon that would be okay."


"Can you really do that?" she asked, her voice climbing an octave in amazement.

"Yeah, I've got to make ten grand anyway to pay back all the debt that I've amassed whilst I've been in here," Jon continued. "Lost earnings - I earn quite a bit and rent is quite a bit.

"I am going back to work, anyway. I don't need to go out and take advantage of this 'fame', it's not my thing at all. If I'm on telly, it would be for specific aims. If somebody wanted me to interview Tony Blair, I'd be in there like a shot; if Paxman wants to interview me, then I'll take him on."

The Malvern lass agreed. "My intention isn't to release a single but, don't get me wrong, if there's an opportunity that's going to benefit me, that would be nice."

"I think the press love to label you as a wannabe," Nush concluded.

"I wannabe a Managing Director of my own company," finished Jon.

And why not.

I expect he will , anyone would be a fool not to milk it for all it's worth, while they can.

The difference is, some treat it like a long audition, where as others, just get on with it, being themselves as much as they can, and worry about what comes afterwards, afterwards.

Either way is fair enough I suppose, but I just prefer those who at least try to be themselves

Hey come on, at least Jon is acting like himself instead of a spherical shallow attention seeker like the rest of them losers (bar Fed, he may be an attention seeker, but he's a bloody gorgeous one!)!
Jon is the best thing BB4 has seen, he may say some stupid things, but at least he keeps us entertained!
