''Australian Big Brother reject Jo Ashton may be parachuted into the British version of the show in an attempt to salvage its plunging ratings.
Viewers have been switching off the fourth series of Big Brother in droves, leading to a number of emergency measures by producers, including bringing in a contestant from the African show and evicting two housemates in one night.
British newspapers now say Ashton, 23, will be introduced to spice up proceedings.
Describing her time in the Australian house as a "flirt-fest", the Daily Express said Ashton had created the biggest media interest of any of the housemates and could boost flagging ratings......''
