Audition video...well I didn't think they did those this year just straight to actual auditions themselves.

Yup, thought so too. Sun desperate to sell more copies? Just a thought.

The £600 bill which is rumoured to be for Makosi's services is actually a bill for the hire of one of their room, which was used for auditions.

BBC

An agency has denied that Big Brother contestant Makosi Musambasi is an actress they supplied for the show.

Makosi placed her details on the Envenio website, which aims to help people get work in the media.

Envenio admitted sending Makosi details of the Big Brother auditions, but denied making her audition tape or fast-tracking her into the house.

Makosi is one of four finalists left in the house hoping to win a prize of £50,000 on Friday.

The Sun newspaper has claimed a £609.68 bill was sent to the show's makers Endemol for studio hire, tapes, and photos - allegedly relating to Makosi's audition tape.

The paper says it has a copy of an invoice from Envenio's sister company, The Casting Suite, to Endemol.

But both Envenio and Endemol have said the invoice was for a separate job unrelated to the Big Brother housemates.

A spokesman for Endemol said: "Nothing untoward has gone on and Makosi went through the same audition process as anyone else."

Envenio chief executive Paul Booth denied the firm had made her a professional audition tape for Makosi.

He said: "As far as we know, Makosi is not an actress.

"She signed up for our new faces section, which is for members of the public who aspire to be involved in the business. She put her details on our website.

"We emailed Makosi details of the Big Brother auditions, just like we emailed a lot of our members... it is no different to a company walking down the street looking for people.

"The invoice is from our sister company, The Casting Suite, and was for a completely separate job we did for Endemol."

Mr Booth said Envenio had supplied members of the public for a number of Channel 4 programmes, such as A Place In The Sun, and had supplied film extras.

Channel 4 issued a statement which said: "Makosi went through the same audition process as every other housemate and was not fast-tracked in any way.

"The Casting Couch invoice printed in today's Sun relates to the casting for Channel 4 on-air trails to promote Big Brother's Big Mouth."

Craig Coates was unexpectedly evicted from the Big Brother house on Wednesday night, after getting just 4.1% of the public vote to win.

In another twist, Big Brother offered finalist Eugene Sully the chance to take half the cash prize now, leaving the other half for the winner.

He accepted the offer - unaware that if he had rejected it, the prize pot would have doubled from £100,000 to £200,000.

megastar

A shocking truth is revealed about the wretched saps who've made us wince in the Big Brother house this summer.

Craig is a lady!

Nah, fooled you. The poor evictee's a lovelorn crimper, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

While the Daily Star parades grim topless ZZZ-lister Orlaith in its page three trouser-rubbing pap spesh (and says some catty things about the Ulster exhibionist to boot), the Sun reveals that scary uber-boobed hairbear Makosi is, in fact...an actress!

So that's why she was so convincing with Ant in the pool, then - allegedly. She must have seen When Harry Met Sally a hundred times.

A "talent agency" - yeah, don't make us laugh - is claimed to have booked the flesh-flaunting irritant for BB and invoiced the programme makers for their trouble, says the rag.

The Sun's editorial column says producers Endemol have denied taking any such payment.

In a double-page probe (ahem, don't let Kinga near it) under the headline "Name: Makosi Musambasi, 24. Skills: Actress, dancer, compere," an indignant Sun launches an "urgent investigation" into the alleged swizz.

Excuse us: at what point were we supposed to take the whole BB experiment so seriously? Any such notions surely died at the end of the first series, back in 2000.

MegaStar smells a rat, though, over what the Sun dubs Makosi's "Big Con". We cynics reckon the freaky loon's nothing more than a wannabe actress with a tendency for the over-dramatic.

She'll go far.

ZIMBABWEAN nurse, Makosi Musambasi suffered a double whammy Wednesday night when the top-selling Sun newspaper accused her of of being an actress, imploring its readers to snub her.

Earlier, Big Brother had offered half the £100 000 prize money to another contestant, Eugene. If Eugene had rejected the money, the big prize would have been doubled to £200 000.

In an editorial for Thursday, the Sun said "Makosi's opponents have every reason to be furious" after details emerged she was an actress with a London agency and had gone into Big Brother with the help of a "slick, professional audition video".

"Reality TV is supposed to be about ORDINARY people impressing the producers at auditions to win their chance of fame," the Sun said in an editorial comment.

"Makosi has drawn suspicion to herself by being less than open with her fellow contestants. Viewers who pay to vote for their favourites have a right to feel aggrieved if Makosi has been given secret help by Big Brother himself," the Sun said.

The latest revelations will shatter Makosi's dream of winning the Channel 4 programme. Four contestants remain after the gay housemate, Craig, was voted out on Wednesday night.

Makosi's stay in the Big Brother house has been dogged by controvercy, and it was New Zimbabwe.com editor Mduduzi Mathuthu who first noted that a well-oiled PR machine was working overtime to boost Makosi's chances of winning the big prize.

Writing in his Editor's Memo on 19 July, Mathuthu warned it could all end in tears for Makosi.

He wrote: "Now her sister, Veronica, who is enjoying her 15 minutes of fame, has unhelpfully intervened to claim Makosi went into Big Brother in order to get money to pay for her mum's cancer operation.

"But wait a minute, just this past week Makosi's dad, Rich, told us the real motive for going on Big Brother -- that his daughter always wanted to be famous. So why is Veronica wheeling out this stuff about her mum's cancer operation when we all know Makosi is hunting fame?"

I'd quite happily see The Sun go out of business and all the hacks who sell their souls by working for that rag flayed through the streets of London town.

But really Cameron, I must take issue, The Sun do not resort to cheap publicity stunts to sell more copies. That's not what they do surely? They're not bothered about playing the circulation game.

After all, they put Orla on Page 3... ;)
