Despite the news that only an average of 4.4 million viewers have watched it this time, making it the one with the lowest ratings of the lot, I still believe the format has a future.

To me the star of the show this year was Big Brother itself. I loved the twists and turns the production team devised. I also loved the tasks and the Secret Garden.

Maybe the theme for 2006 should be — “back to basics”.

Maybe Endemol/Channel4 should hire Cameron to a project to plan UK BB7 with them?

smashin well done ant go enjoy it you won fair and square, I was thrilled a nice geordie decent lad won. Now can we forget all about makosi I didnt think the crowd was harsh enough, rotten eggs and tomatoes would have been more apt. I hated every thing she did would have preferred bb6 without her, but like jade I expect she will be rammed down our throat by the media . I didnt like jade still dont and never watch or buy anything shes in that will now apply to makosi. But wouldnt mind seeing any of the rest of them . good luck to them all

Obviously I can see what people mean about Makosi's "crimes" not being as bad as 'real' crimes. We have to bear in mind however, that everything is relative. I'm sure if Makosi was sitting there with a murderer etc. it wouldn't have been her who received the wrath of a particular crowd. In Big Brother terms, however, Makosi DID elicit a certain degree of disgust for her behaviour and that particular crowd reacted accordingly.

One of the aims of Big Brother after all, is to get people passionate about the housemates, in whatever direction.

Whether Davina should have quelled the furore is another question altogether.

Do you have a DVD drive in your computer? You can get good ones now for £20 and their easy to install.
