I don't mind the natural colour(s) of mine, but seeing that coloured effect in photos isn't my favourite.

can't comment on that - i haven't seen the natural colour of my hair for at least five years!!

but reddy-brown-auburn is so much nicer than my previous mousey brown.....

Personally I like a man with a bit of salt in his hair - and George Clooney just keeps on getting better looking with age.
