Well thats something of an insult to the housemates....although of course thats part of bb, not having 24/7 news updates.

I can't imagine watching the baying mob tomorrow evening though. Weird.

Take the lead from Manchester and carry on as normal.

We had the bomb during Euro 96, it was the saturday of the Endland/Scotland match so all the dads were at home watching tv, it was fathers day on the sunday so all the mum's and kids were out in the centre buying fathers day prezzies. The bomb went off at the busiest pedestrian crossroads.

The next day we continued with the planned Euro 96 party featuring 808 State in the Castlefield part of the city. It became a party of defiance. The Evening News quickly put up a poster on all the billboards in and around Manchester, it read "They went for they heart, but they couldn't touch the soul".

Londoners do likewise, they only win if they managed to change you and we brits are a defiant lot!

Actually, I have my own theory on terrorists. If they try to frigthen us, and we don't back off (not a step!): then at one point, these terrorists will get angry and desperate. This is the point where they will get messy with their plans and prone to mistakes. This situation could lead into exposing themselves more easily.

However, if we show them that we are panicking and frightened, these terrorists will get more motivated. Thus, this will give them extra 'momentum' to carry their acts more careful and properly planned.

That was exactly what happened in Bali. People there are so poor that they can't afford to stop 'living normal life' just because of the incident. So, these local people have no choice, but continue living their normal routines. Most of the tourist scenes/attractions were operating as usual (except for the places that directly got bombed). This annoyed the culprits (because their main intention was to sabotage the Bali tourist industry). They tried to initiate another attack, which was poorly planned. This had led into tracing down all the important people behind the evil acts (in less than a month!).

I'm in complete agreement.

I can't believe that the BB producers have decided not to even tell the HMs about it.

This may be where I have to stop watching this show. Talk about disrespect for human life. Besides - a couple of the HMs aren't even Uk nationals, and they should be given the opportunity to decide whether they want to remain in London.

It all depends on whether the shows going to carry on or, if it is then they shouldn't be told, I think if I knew that there had been a terrorist attack and I was in the BB house I'd want to leave!

I can only assume that that's what Endemol are afraid of, Fish. That their profits might be down if the HMs decide they want to leave.

When 9/11 happened, BB was on in several countries. Many of them chose not to tell the HMs.

I happen to think that they're right not to tell them. If none of them has family or friends who are affected, then I see little point. Yes, BB is trivial, it's daft, it's silly but it's part and parcel of the culture these terrorist scum want to destroy. It should carry on, as it always does.

I think BB should carry on, but I think that the housemates have a right to know about this.

I just feel that it's disrespectful for the eviction to go ahead as planned tomorrow night. It could be delayed for a few days.

I think I agree Bunny, at the end of the day the terrorists are trying to destroy our way of life. Yes BB is trivial, but why should everything stop because of what they have done, if we stop, they have have won!

Obviously if any family members of any housemate have been affected by this then they need to know, then endemol will have a decision to make!

Seriously...think about this, if you live away from home and have done for a while how well do your family know your friends? My parent probably know about 25% of the people i know...so yeah they would know they were safe, but what about the rest?

I think this 'if none of their family or friends were involved...' thing people keep saying is BS...only the HMs would know who to contact and whatnot.

I also think tomorrow nights eviction will be difficult to watch, Maxwell is a London lad....and hes going to have to sit through an interview with Davina, with him bellowing 'off da hook' and talking about Saskia and getting a grilling about stupid inane things...and then after they are done with him 'oh and by the way...' - I think he at least has the right to know, or the eviction to be postponed.

I think there are more important things going on, than who leaves a house or not, they'd be better off leaving the eviction out of common sense. That's the problem with bb when something serious happens, looking at a few shallow people laying around, rapped up in there own little air bubble world means nothing. They should tell em, and give them something to think about other than themselves for a change.

I was surprised to see BBLB was on - poor Dermot had to try to handle it all sensitively (watching the repeat now)..

It would be bad for the evicted housemate (particularly if they are from London) to come out and hear the news..

At the very least, maybe the boo-ing could be reduced...

Starlet, I hear what you're saying, but if they do tell them what then? I don't want terrorists to ruin my favourite TV programme. I know it sounds daft, but I think the terrorists will have scored a tiny victory if BB is all screwed up.

I really hope there isnt a backlash and that racist nutters dont start peddling anti-Muslim filth.Like I said on another thread, the Muslims I know condemn this act terribly and have spent today offering prayers but are worried about an upsurge in racist attacks :-( :-?
