When Davina said to Eugene re: taking the money,

"I was in a room with 100 people, and we were all screaming at you to take the money!"

Did anyone else think, what were the Endemol shareholders doing in a room with Davina? ;)

Even I agree Davina, Dermot and BBLB in general have all been dismal this year and i'm usually first to defend them. BB7 needs a major overhaul in every sense (format, rules, HMs, presenters and shows) IMHO

Damn right Cam, 95% of us on here were voting non-stop to get you evicted!! And it didn't work!! Aaargh! ;)

Just kldding. It was actually closer to 98%!!

(The only time I ever voted these past six years was a few times for the idiot Sibley in the BB3 final week. And I've felt dirty ever since!)

In all seriousness, we take BB far too seriously. We 'think' HMs are this, that, and 'whatever', but actually you HMs are just people much like ourselves. (Although for the past two series the HMs have been self-conscious, exaggerated caricatures.)

You are an intelligent, funny and likeable man Cameron; and you never seem to bear a grudge, get into slanging matches or get uptight or upset. Well done you. (Plus gerbilgranny loves you! And that's something to be proud of!)

Just please don't sh!t in my shoes! ;)

My opinions are:
Davina - needs a co-host who'll ask questions to HMs she doesn't want to, despite the things they've done, because they're her favourites (Saskia interview = :puke: ) Someone who has watched the show so they can tell her stuff she's completely missed.

Dermot - I think he actually does a good job. BBLB however, needs a big rethink. I know it's supposed to be light hearted, but that's given way to features that are just kinda moronic & unfunny. So much so, Maxwell will probably be presenting it next year :8o:

Russell Brand - Thought he was terrible on eForum, but I've quite enjoyed him on Big Mouth this year. Think he holds it together quite well.

It'd be safer in the BB House! ;)

C'mon Christine, you'll need to install at least a jacuzzi here for next year. :D

I agree Finchy,

Davina is a great host but she really needs someone heaver to handle the interviews. Sometimes she's able to tease out some great answers... but this year I don't think she hit one Bull's Eye.

Dermott was fantastic in BB2... filmed mostly by the canal-side, it didn't try to be too clever. Its charm was allowing the viewer to see some of the back story of each HM, their families maybe and also to see the HM in a different setting (after eviction). Then they tried to get too clever with the format in my opinion.

As for Russell? I hated that show last year. This year, the few I've seen have been really good.

I still want them to follow the Aussie example though and have a late-night adult show.

Thanks, and yes you're ABSOLUTELY right re. the bit in bold, and about the fact that 'normal' people don't exist, anywhere. I've used the word "mainstream" in the Sunday Post, rather than 'normal' or 'ordinary'.

Anyway... I was saying elsewhere on here about Makosi's reception, wondering (I suppose I was stating an opinion) about whether it was justified and I think - relative to the other housemates - it was. Clearly in relation to the World at large it wouldn't be, that is obvious, but the eviction crowd are not (generally speaking) political commentators or analysis, anti-vivisectionists, race-relations officers or anyone else with serious issues on their minds or in their day-to-day existence - they are, to use a term of undoubted affection, "BBFans".

In the same way that those mentioned above might not get upset over a housemate's behaviour, most Big Brother fanatics wouldn't go on hunger strike or hold hostages or murder anybody for their own cause. They're there at evictions because they're passionate about Big Brother.

And let's not forget, housemates are generally chosen to create feelings in us that will cause us to vote.

Whether the vote is a positive one or a negative one makes no difference to the production company - voting revenue is voting revenue.
