No, totally agree. I think what does qualify a person's opinion is their own personal experience, and this Jon seems to possess. I know exactly how Jon feels - I remember a project I was working on recently with a bunch of no-brainers and they just didn't want to listen despite the fact I'd had huge personal experience in this particular area. I think this case is similar to Jon's - it looks like they all just want to gang up on him, and argue with him the most minor, most trivial point they can find, to humiliate him, in a way to disguise their own shortcomings. Go for it, Jon!
