Exactly. Don't change anything. That goes for everyone. Just be more vigilant I suppose. My other half is a black cabbie and drives around London every day. Am I supposed to worry myself sh1tless every single day? Sure it is a worry but this is the world we live in now. Time to get used to it and get on with it.

Yes my husband is special forces police and he rang me yesterday to tell me what had happened and that they were on high alert. I was worried - and I do worry about him - but it is his job and I can't worry every minute that he will be harmed.

I'm glad you don't worry 'every minute' but you're braver than me. I worry myself stupid if he's more than an hour late and he's a pharmacist! Good for you you should be (and no doubt you are) proud of your other halves

No doubt we are all subconciously worrying about all our loved ones all the time, wherever they are and for whatever reason. But my point is you do get used to it so you are not actively worrying about them. If that makes sense. I know what I mean anyway!

I didn't mean to sound harsh at all - but it is a fact that his job holds risks - I would rather enjoy life and deal with anything that might happen if it did at that time. Why waste time worrying and being fearful? It wouldn't change whether it was going to happen or not.
