Either way, his decision could have cost him money. And anyway, if he wins tomorrow, he'll win more than the others would have done! ()^

It is an interesting point but I don't feel whether Eugene's decision was right or wrong depends on whether you support him generally or not.I don't feel strongly enough about him to bother too much but it is an interesting moral question.

Ah, so it's common knowledge with the housemates now then. If Eugene has let the housemates know, then well, good on him. I think if he had went on till he was evicted and not said anything, i might have thought he was a sly git. But then again, goodness knows what is being edited. He might have told the housemates this and it might not have been shown. Still don't think Eugene shouldn't win though because of this.

HURRAY!

At last something fms can get their collective teeth into after almost eleven weeks!

Having said that, I can't quite believe the extent of the emotion surrounding Eugene's decision to take the money.

Even though I expected Eugene not to take the cash, it made me sit and think about it once he had. I'm certain that Eugenius would have thought about it logically and methodically. It would have been an enormous decision and something that would have taken some strategic thinking.

Compare it to the tea and cakes issue that upset him so much. There was a DEFINITE housemate that was going to 'lose out' if Eugene took the tea and buns - Eugene didn't want to single her out, although his fellow housemates all had.

I think if Eugene had had to decide between taking half the money thereby causing a specific housemate to lose out, he wouldn't have done it. The very fact that it was an IMpersonal decision whereby he gained without any one particular person actually losing out would have made it a whole lot easier.

[Also compare being voted out by the public at large vs being voted out by your fellow housemates.]

Can't Tempt Me

How does it feel to nick £50,000 from under your Housemates' noses? Makosi and Anthony have been discussing this pressing question in the bedroom this morning.

Eugene's decision to accept Big Brother's offer of half the prize money was a shock to some Housemates. Anthony and Makosi don't blame the guy, but say they would not have done the same.

"Big Brother asked me how I thought Eugene was feeling and I said, 'What, apart from feeling f****** loaded?'," laughed Anthony.

"I was also asked how I felt and I said there was no right or wrong," Makosi said. "Cheers to Eugene. I felt proud of him," she added. "I still feel like I'm their mother - Eugene and Orlaith - I brought them to the House."

"I still wouldn't have took it," Anthony maintained.

"It was a personal decision. I wouldn't have taken it," Makosi agreed.

Anthony then asked Makosi why she would have turned her nose up at the £50,000. "For it to be more special for Friday," she explained.

"I would have just said 'who dares wins'," Anthony told her, "Oh, I wish I'd gone in the Diary Room."

What do you think? Would they have resisted temptation? Or are they bluffing. Get on the forums and let us now.

very good points Cameron- it was an impersonal decision.

He made a sensible and wise decision.

And as for that Makosi saying, "oh - do you guys want me to go..." once somebody had stood up and started off going, PAH!
