I for one can't wear horizontal stripes and get away with it. :-(

Well, I find horizontal stripes work wonderfully for me - if I'm looking for the 'beached whale' look ::lol::

I have a top with different purple horizontal stripes on it... I quite like it actually but in the wash it went totally mishapen!! It's too short but far too wide ::lol::

Column is great again today. something about how Cameron supported Edith in FA, how he would like to be on FA, him celebrating his birthday, being a grip (that made me ::lol:: I'd probably faint if someone asked for £28 for a piece of meat!!) and there was maybe something else but I can't remember.

cheers christine, I don't think they've put up the full column yet though - that was just like the main part.

I like karaoke too, it's good fun!! I have a karaoke machine, it's good for practising. I haven't been to many places where they've had a public karaoke thing going on though, just on random caravanning holidays with extended family members ::lol:: ::lol::

Okay - thanks Jezi. We'll have to wait until they put the rest up then.

I like karaoke too.

yeah, they did that the other week I noticed as well. It seems to be Monday/Tuesday until they put up the whole thing.

Thanks Christine - and thanks Jezi for explaining that they make us wait for the full column.

I am dying to know what a 'grip' is - but in the context of someone asking £28 for a piece of meat - I think I am possibly a 'grip' myself.

Delighted to hear that Edith is a good sort - she certainly came across that way on FA - I only knew her from being on BBLB before.

Hopefully we'll see Cameron on the next FA - I thought perhaps we'd see him on Strictly Come Dancing, but the FA would be even more entertaining. I liked the way Lesley Garrett said 'everyone has a voice' - what a nice, encouraging person she was. Anyway, we KNOW Cameron CAN sing - remember his operatic duet with Steph in BB?

oh I remember the task but I don't remember how good the actual voices were, I'll have to look the DVD out!

I'd define a 'grip' as someone who's a bit tight... I am  I don't mind paying money for presents for people or whatever but I rarely buy something for myself without going round every possibly shop and making sure it's the cheapest ::lol::

So a grip is the same as a Bargain Annie - well, I'm a grip and proud of it!

Long long ago, I used to do the rounds of all the clothes shops to find the cheapest item, but haven't got the energy now - but I had to have extra cupboards put in our house for all my 'special offers'. Bottles of Persil were half-price about a month ago - I bought about a dozen!

::lol:: that's funny!! my mum gets the special offers too, not for the sake of it though as that's pointless. however there's no point in spending extra money for the sake of it when you can get it for less in my opinion :D

I'd make sure a grip is what I think though... I have a tendancy to just decide what I think words mean and go with it

Oh gg - thanks (not) for reminding me about that opera task. Yes it was good fun but I think the singing was far from tuneful!
