In the previous series, the housemates were not allowed watches or any mechnical devices of any sorts (I remember Kate and Johnny having to get up and look at the clock on the cooker in a hungover state as one example).

In the highlights show last night, I saw Derek repeatedly checking a wrist watch during the nominating period. Tut tut Big Brother

Aye it's been mentioned before...Derek is also allowed hair clippers and Lesley had straighteners, yet in other series no electrical stuff AT ALL was allowed. I guess they changed the rules this year.

Lee had hair clippers in BB3, they did all that eyebrow shaving in the first week (even "I'm not getting in there" Sunita)

I think maybe BB is being relaxed about some old rules, to compensate for the loss of personal freedoms. At least I've been able to figure out the show in on a 10 minute delay, by all the time checks Derek gives

They'll probably let them take there vibs in next year if it means some more viewers to make money out of Surprised Sam had to do without her's, thought it was an essential item on her list

Didn't Sam say that she brought in some? I thought she did.

Derek is allowed a watch on medical grounds -so that he can time his visits to the toilet precisely.


I think they assumed Sam would be a bit creative with whatever tools she found in the house.

When it comes to sexual satisfaction, I really don't understand why some people can be so dependant. I've never had problem to come on my own, without the aid of any mechanical/physical/biological devices.

So everyone who uses 'aids' is dependant on them? Don't think so..it's just preferance/something different.

I didn't say "everyone". I said "some people", and yes it's true. There're "some people" who are depending on these aids, and not merely taking them as preference/option.

Well, you said it in relation to Sam...who has never indicated it was a 'need' so i assumed you meant in general...how on earth did we get talking about this?
