Big Brother is playing the classical role of psychological experimenter, probing and tinkering with the little rats in the cage. Mind games are a somewhat under-used tactic of BB, and it is pleasing to see the housemates being messed around with this week. The eviction of Maxwell was indeed a pleasant surprise to many viewers, especially those who don't aspire to be a vile, dirty, and common as muck citizen. With 'Club loaded' now comprising of just 2 members, the Makosi alliance still dominates the group, however Makosi's alliance is starting to implode!.

Group Dynamics: week 7

notes:
'Club Loaded' ©2005 darkhawk76 (BBfans.com)

further points of note:
-'best pals' are no more, with Kemal decisively voting for Makosi
-the remnants of Club Loaded are now fading away into the main group, although Craig won't let go of 'his precious' Anthony !
-the 'Makosi' alliance/'Game on Gang' is much smaller in number. Now that Maxwell/Saskia have been defeated, the alliance has started to implode -with Orlaith taking the place of Kemal as Makosi's left protective flank.
-Science: still independent of the group, but looking very vulnerable if it comes to the HM's deciding if he stays this week
-Derek and Eugene have something of a mini-alliance, although Derek has been increasingly associating himself with the remaining Hm's. Eugene is somewhat of an 'easy target' as the 'boring one' for nomination rounds'8/9

In summary, we can say that because Makosi's group defeated their enemy, and they are now inevitably starting to destroy themselves. The first stage is already now complete, the 'best pals' have been split up. Makosi has allowed Orlaith - whom she voted for last week (interesting to remember), closer into her clique of 3. Will the group eventually stab Makosi in the back? It remains a distinct possibility especially if Kemal can manage to recruit a few housemates -Derek and Craig maybe? It would be ironic if Makosi is defeated by the very person (Kemal) whom she has bitched about so much these past few days.

All groups change over time, and with the level of manipulation that Big Brother is playing this year, this group is sure to develop (or is that regress?) in the remaining month.

I don't know hardly anything about the Caesar story.

Was Brutus Caesars best friend/ally ?

If so, then indeed, we might well have Kemal stabbing Makosi in the back....perhaps as early as this Friday*

*am assuming there is at least 27-33% 'antimakosi' voting section of the public, who've wanted her out for weeks...and all that pent up demand will at least make her second place.

Makosi has continued bad-mouthing fellow Team Diva member Kemal this morning.

The nurse began moaning yesterday that her friend was acting differently since receiving a supportive message from his parents. This morning she put on the same record again.

Within two hours of waking, Makosi had already spotted Kemal behaving suspiciously. "He's trying to make a comeback," she whispered to Vanessa.

Makosi felt the belly dancer wasn't dressing as flamboyantly as usual and thought his toned down dress was highly significant. "He knows it doesn't have the same impact anymore," she explained.

Vanessa
Vanessa, the idol
But she had yet another bone to pick. "He's awfully uncomfortable about you and me," she confided in new best friend Vanessa.

Her cookie-munching pal agreed, complaining, "Why couldn't we all hang around together?"

The pair then turned their talons onto Orlaith. They began by discussing how beautiful she was but their talk soon twisted into yet more catty remarks. They saw Orlaith as a follower without a mind of her own who was basking in Team Diva's reflected glory.

"She idolises you, bless her," Makosi told Vanessa.

Mia-ow!

Team Diva - loyal to the end ;)

like the "Her cookie-munching pal" comment, somebody on the BB news team has a sense of humour :D

This is the reason why BB6 is becoming interesting and more interesting. The main attraction is no longer based on individual personality (like in the previous BBs), but rather the 'entire drama' in the house. I'm sure many people are excited and eager to anticipate how the plots and subplots will develop.

(Thank God, Maxwell has been booted. At least, we wouldn't get depressed watching some drama with sub-plot of criminal act!)

The truly big question is just how bad could it get for Makosi by this Friday? Will she go from being immune after winning her task, to being voted out by none other than Kemal?

Tonights highlights will be crucial, will it focus on Makosi being rude to ex-pal Kemal?

---
We've got just over 49 hrs until the public vote closes....and then...

9.25...the public are told the 2 leaders...
10.07, the hms are told to vote...- could take 20mins.
10.25 hm evicted
10.35 interview time for..

i seriously think that orlaith is just playing the game and trying to make out that she has taken makosi's side, but makosi the nurse of 5 years who thought that she was pregnant the next day only really has vanessa the drip on her side.
the makosi group is slowly disperssing. ;)

ohh, lets be clear...neither Makosi nor Orlaith really trust/respect each other. Both are ultra rivals - almost in the same style as Makosi/Kemal were. I can't not re-emphasise that Mak' voted for Orlaith the very first chance she got. Makosi wants Orlaith out.

The funny thing is that Makosi can not count on anyone for support. Vanessa is about as reliable as rain in the Sahara, and Orlaith could drop her at any moment. Even if Makosi survives this week, Makosi may well soon find herself quite alone in the group.

So much is uncertain, this Friday will be even more critical than last week. More than anything, who will vote for who ? Yet to be announced..will the housemates vote in front of each other?*

*I never saw BB1, but I heard housemates voted out someone -on the sofa's, so we do have a precedent.

One disagreement re Kemal/Makosi/Orleigh---I think Kemal is still in there and Orleigh remains the outsider-
As I posted on another thread-
I don't know if this has been noted but Kemal said one of his reasons for nominating ,in addition to not knowing who Makosi was,was that "something is up here today".I wouldn't be surprised if he thought nominating Makosi might be good for her-in some reverse way.(ie all not nominated at all up for the vote.)

Also later he said directly to her as sternly as he could that "week 7"is something we will discuss in detail when we get out together.

So my prediction is he won't vote her again and he doesn't think their friendship is dodgy.

I never believe that Team Diva can preserve its solid 'friendhsip'. Too many strong competing characters/personalities there. Sooner or later, this bond will come to the end.

It's nothing like Team Saskia, where we can see a genuine "slave-master" and "man-dog" relationships. The bonding is much stronger because the personalities are not competing. If Craig and Anthony, at some point, clash each other: then it's merely attributed to Craig's so-called "annoying sexual innueondo". It's nothing to do with competing personalities.
