TASK: Spooked
Day 58, 12:30

Big Brother has a veritable Hammer House of horrors lined up for Housemates in their task today. Housemates will be called to the Diary Room one by one, so that Big Brother can attempt to spook them out, and make them flee.

Various contraptions will help contribute to their apprehension including a custom made 'electric' helmet, smoke to mask their vision, a bucket suspended above their head and they will also be hooked up to a heart rate monitor.

Their other essential accessory is a buzzer, which they'll have to sound when they've had enough.

Housemates reacted with glee as BB called them to the dining table, Craig went to hug Derek screeching 'We've got a task!'... Makosi on the other hand just hoped they wouldn't be eating 'mice and snails and...' anything like that.

Craig read out the rest of the instructions which assured them that if the Housemates collectively made it through a total of 45 minutes of scary business they would win a 'special' group prize.

Let's see just how stoic they remain when faced with a bloodcurdling Big Brother...

'Makosi on the other hand just hoped they wouldn't be eating 'mice and snails and...' anything like that.' From that conversation she had the other day, I'd have thought she'd quite enjoy it if they did!

A good chance for someone to go way up in the public's estimation if they last the whole 45 alone, and to go down if they 'pull a vanessa' and run before even findong out what's going on. An excellent task to give them at this point, I think!

TASK: Bat Outta Hell

Eugene braved Big Brother's Diary Room of Horrors this afternoon, although he didn't really feel he was cut out for the job.

On entering the den of fear, Big Brother tried to work out just how tough a nut Eugene thought he was asking him, "On a scale of one to ten, how pathetic are you?"

"Err... seven," he promptly replied, seeing no point in fibbing.

"That is pathetic," sneered Big Brother.

Pushing the boffin to the limit, Big Brother then flapped a life-like rubber bat in front of him whilst playing Meat Loaf.

Sadly, Eugene folded immediately. Not a fan of the balladeer's works he shivered, "That's pretty terrifying!"

Where's your backbone Eugene?

TASK: In A Flap

Kemal had his feathers ruffled today after a petrifying visit to the Diary Room of 'terror'.

Hoping to work out what would reduce the stiletto collector to a snivelling wreck, Big Brother asked, "Have you ever been frightened by a bumble bee or a clown so that you had an accident in your trousers?"

Kemal denied either of these things gave him the jitters, although he did eventually reveal what does strike the fear of God into him.

The belly dancer spoke of his phobia of hospitals and, er, pigeons. Shuddering at the very thought of the cooing beasts, Kemal whimpered, "I swear if there's a pigeon in here I will cry!"

Pull yourself together Kemal, it's nothing to get in a flap about!

It'll probs be funny when we get to see it, but it's annoying when you have to rely on the official site for info.

~They've just been told they passed, and their prize is a Party~

Now, we know HM's haven't a great track record, when it comes to parties - let's hope there isn't too much 'fall-out' afterwards... ;)
