Cameron Stout won over the Peterhead public at the weekend at the climax to the town's annual Scottish Week.
The likeable Orcadian helped judge, and then joined, a parade of floats on Saturday and yesterday cast his eye over the entries at a modified car show.
Scottish Week committee secretary Gordon Farman said: "He was our event personality this year and everyone loved him.
"He walked with the float parade through the town centre and people were chasing him for photographs and autographs."
The Saturday parade took in the town centre and ended at the Lido where an afternoon of gala activities and live music entertained the crowds.
Mr Farman said: "The attendance was good although the drizzly weather may have kept numbers down a bit,"
Events yesterday included a horse show at Lunderton Equestrian Centre, a Highland dancing festival in the rescue hall and the modified car day at the community centre car park.
Mr Farman said: "This is a new event for Scottish Week and we were delighted with an entry of 70 cars from all over the north-east."
The curtain came down on the gala with a Songs of Praise last night at the Lido marquee attended by around 100 people.
Mr Farman said: "Overall, the week has been a success and our committee will be meeting to think about ways of improving the event.
"We would like to hear the views of the public and they would be welcome to attend a meeting in the Waterside Inn on August 1 at 7.30pm."
