At least that's what the 45-year-old finance clerk's workmates tell him.
And Anthony is so convinced, he is going on national television to prove he's the best Derek lookalike in the business.
Colleagues at his office in Albert Embankment, Vauxhall, noticed the resemblance to the reality television Tory toff as soon as the show started.
"I knew people would start calling me Derek from day one but the only likenesses are I'm black, bald and have titled friends," he said.
"I'm not as ugly as Derek." Anthony, who is single, is taking on two other lookalikes on Channel 4 this Sunday to win a day walking in Derek's shoes and meeting his family and friends.
He said: "I had to send a picture in and they choose three of us to come into the studio.
"We appear with Derek masks on and then they take us off to the costume and make-up depart-ments"
After that, Anthony will be brought back to be interviewed by host Dermot O'Leary and will have to do an impression of the camp Conservative.
The bright lights of the studio won't put off the former drama student who made his television debut alongside former Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp in a pilot of Rumpole of the Bailey in 1975.
And Anthony, from Hackney, is fairly confident he can see off the other two imposters.
He said: "Who knows, maybe I'll get to meet the Hamiltons. The only problem is I'm a Labour voter."
* You can see Anthony on Big Brother's Little Brother on Channel 4 at 1.30pm on Sunday.
