Day 71, 19:52

As the hour of eviction creeps ever closer, the traditional beauty preparations are well under way in the House.
Winner of the person most dedicated to the art of beauty has to go to Makosi who has been in the Diary Room pleading for a new afro. Apparently her old one is lacking in bounce. And that would never do on night like this!
Eugene has also been spending time on his barnet, tweaking his hair to within an inch of its life and managing a rather funky, spikey do.
It's Kinga's first eviction night, and she is obviously keen to look her best, although the other Housemates suspected that an announcement from Big Brother forbidding drinking during the eviction might have been aimed at her. We wonder why...
Dapper Derek has opted for a classic look in a crisp white shirt with socks pulled up extra-tight. We're not sure how extra-tight socks could add to his night but there you go.
"You're wearing your politics outfit," Eugene observed with not a newly tweaked hair out of place.
But will it be Eugene or Derek displaying their finery before the divine Ms McCall?
You decide...
The Early Bird
Day 71, 20:25
Derek was unusually punctual for this week's eviction statement this evening, settling down on the sofas well before Big Brother's announcement to do so.
His superior time keeping skills didn't go unnoticed, "You're in position early," Makosi commented.
"This must be the earliest I've ever been in the last five times I've been up," he told her.
"Have you been up FIVE times?" Makosi asked, amazed at Derek's staying power.
"This is the sixth time," he said, almost proudly. "I think I've made history in the Big Brother House."
But is Derek history? Or will Eugene be leaving tonight?
Not long until we all find out...
