What is it with those two? Why are they getting on so well? I was convinced that he would be a complete git to her and sneer at her behaviour and juvenile antics but he thinks she's great

Could it be that she's no threat to him and he actually feels a bit paternal or protective of her bcz of her blatant vulnerability, lack of intellect and guilelessness?

Or could it be that he is up for eviction tonight, and that he wants to make a good impression for the public. He might genuinely like her, but i have my suspicions.
