SUPER-geek Eugene is now the ODDS-ON favourite to win Big Brother.
Cash has poured in for the Terry Wogan fan, who cried when his pal Derek was evicted last Friday.

Virgin Eugene, 27, has moved from 4-1 to 8/11 ON, racing ahead of Geordie Anthony, 23, for the Channel 4 show’s £100,000 prize.

Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush said: “The bookies have underestimated the cult following of the loveable geek.

“At the end of last week, Anthony had it won. But his bust-up with Craig has seen his popularity fall dramatically.”

Big Bruv viewers have been taken by the odd charms of Eugene, who is the only housemate not to have resorted to bitching or back-stabbing.

Despite the bookies making it a two-horse race, Makosi claimed in the Diary Room: “I am going for the golden crown on Friday.”

Makosi, quoted at 20-1, claimed Kinga, at 33-1, would be the next one out because she had not been on the “emotional rollercoaster”. Craig is rated a 50-1 shot.

Used to have rats called Annabel, Isobel, Jezebel, Ghostie, Nirvana, PearlJam, Carter, Kiedis and Ruby tho. Annabel was found when my friend moved into a new student house and found her half-starved in a cage in the empty house. She gave her to my sister and then we ended up (me and my sister) getting really into rats. They're intelligent, playful and affectionate and much underrated pets imo! I'd have one again tomorrow but they don't live long enough and I've never been one to cope with grief so I think I should get a parrot! they (and goldfish) can live for 80 years apparently - with luck I can take Jessica and Jasper into the retirement home when I go!

p.s to get back on topic... I love Eugene, he's sweet and nice and benign. Who needs excitement? Not me! I'd prefer a nice boring routine than excitement any day! Geeks rock! (but probably not very loudly...)

Struggling to keep this on topic, but just for you Molly:

I'm sure Eugene would be fascinated by our little creatures - Chester (the matriarch), Ramona (used to be Rambo until we studied the biology), Big Twinny, Little Twinny, and Pinkie (Pinkie is the only boy - he's in touch with his feminine side, though, what with having a name like that). We used to have Mayo, Hellmans ('cos she looked like her Dad - Mayo!) and Blackie, but they have gone to the great Rodent Run in the sky - thankfully, none were eaten by Obi, the cat.

Yes, I think Eugene would like gerbils.

I have heard great things about rats, but to be honest, would just like to get the sitting room back as a resource for humans, once the 5 gerbil cages are no longer required!
