JIM SHELLEY'S VIEW: IT'S GOOD RIDDANCE

LAST night's seemingly endless ordeal summed up how this series has managed to be both cripplingly dull and a circus that bordered on insanity. What have we learned?

First, that packing the cast full of freaks and crazies like Kemal, Kinga, Makosi and Mary will guarantee one thing: somebody really dull will win. BB 6 ended up with TWO winners from the Ordinary Squad.

Second, that pushing the characters to extremes has resulted in LESS viewers.

Finally, we've learned that this show needs to overhaul its presenters. Dermot O'Leary is leaden and Davina was better as a modern-day Cilla than a shrieking harridan.

But good luck to Anthony, his five minutes of fame start now.

Methinks the lazy doth protest too much.

I've really enjoyed BB6, but then you get more out of the show if you come on here (you get other people's takes on things and see so much that you haven't noticed previously).

Shelley's right about the presenters though, in my useless opinion. But they will probably always be part of BB, and we would probably miss them if they weren't there. A bit like certain posters on here who we 'think' we don't like (supply your own names). ;)

I'm not impressed with Shelley's review. He's really lost his edge since he loeft the Guarniad. And anyway, his replacement Charlie Brooker is waaaaay funnier.

Should see what they are saying on the BBC website. Some are saying good riddance to big brother, some are saying it's getting crap now (in so many words), and some are saying that after BB1 it started going downhill. I think the only BB that i have found really boring, was BB4, apart from that one, i've quite enjoyed them really.
