A DISCO dancing Geordie has been crowned the winner of Big Brother 2005, the programme which catapaulted Ulster girl Orlaith McAllister into the limelight.
The north Belfast model joined the rest of the housemates on the grand final of the programme last night to congratulate Anthony, who won the hearts of the British public for the way he handled his explosive friendship with gay crimper Craig.
It was the first time Orlaith has been seen on television screens sporting the new blonde extensions she had fitted after sensationally walking off the show two weeks ago.
Speaking to Orlaith before announcing the results of the final public vote, the programme's host, Davina McCall, made reference to the Playboy wannabe's infamous surgically enhanced breasts.
Asked how her breasts compared to those of fellow housemate Lesley, Orlaith replied: "Lesley's are definitely better, hers are real and mine are fake".
However, Davina did pay tribute to Orlaith for having the courage to walk off the show voluntarily when relations with posh Tory Derek reached crisis point and the 26-year-old lass said she could not face spending anymore time in his company.
Last night's final brought an end to Big Brother's 78-day run, with Anthony receiving 57.3% of the public vote and the £50,000 cash prize.
In the tightest vote ever seen in the Channel Four reality programme, runner-up Eugene received 42.7% of the public vote and also walks away with £50,000 after opting to take half the winnings when Big Brother offered him the chance to split the winnings with the eventual winner earlier in the week.
Despite winning the show, however, Anthony is not expected to earn as much money as Orlaith.
