I finally saw the final tonight...davina totally contradicted herself. She first said....(I'm amazed you don't regret anything you did at all) then she said (you've been an amazing BB h/m)......I don't care what anyone says...Makosi is the true winner of BB6. It took people a while b4 they realised Jade was the true winner of BB3

The true winner is the person who wins, Kate was the true winner of BB3 and Anthony is the true winner of BB6.

Sorry Starlet, I have to disagree with you. Not speaking from a h/m point of view but from a fan point of view....Jade is undoubtedly the real winner from BB3 coz it's true.
Also, Anthony won the battle, but the war isn't over. God knows what the dime bar will do next

You could claim they were the 'stars of bbx' or the 'most popular' (and i'd still disagree with you but) I just object to using the 'real winner' as quite blatently it's rubbish, the real winner is the person who won!

Agreed...but the real stars of BB6 would have to mainly consist of Derek and Makosi...by a country mile

It was interesting that The Times did a 'Big Brother' article this Friday... quite a good one actually. And who's image did they choose to symbolise the show? None other than Makosi.

Whether Makosi becomes a 'winner' remains to be seen, I just don't know if she has the talent to be honest. Although I fancy Derek will carve out a nice little earner should he decide to write.

I do take Ray's point though... I always thought Melanie (BB1) was a true star, and out of the House she did have some success initially.

BB6? I can imagine Makosi, Derek, Orlaith and possibly Eugene having the 'presence' to be successful (should they want it). But the rest of them will get just 5 minutes of TV fame, 2 column inches, a bit of ribbon snipping outside the new Tesco and a freebie in some half respectable nightclub.

The simple fact is, an appearance on BB is old hat... the novelty has worn off and its no longer a passport to fame it maybe once was. Sure, if you've got something really special you might get noticed but it had better be stellar.

Ant is the real winner. He alone holds the title of BB6 winner - he wasn't my fave at the beginning but out of the last lot he was. Eugene deserved his place - but only out of the last lot, as runner-up.IMO

I'd like to see Science capitalise on the BB publicity, not necessarily by become a 'celebrity' on the red carpet at premieres, but by continuing to work to inspire other young people.

Other previous HM's have used their fame for the good of others - let's hope that's the case with at least some of the BB6 lot.

Making money selling your soul to the sunday tabliods and the weekly mags does not a winner make, Ray. The winner is the one who gets the mosts votes from the public on the night. As you found out in BB4

I think the only real winner this year was endemol.

Ant didnt even get 70k which was the original prize and his win was diluted by the Makosi baby thing, He also didnt help himself banging on that HE WOULDNT OF TAKEN THE 50K like eugene.

However, if Maksosi had done all she did except the Abortion comment and the pretending to pregnant i might agree a bit more, but sorry she took things way way to far

Funny thing is, Ant reminds me of Ray in so many ways; they both liked a drink and went on about how they may be percieved by the public a LOT - both of them liked to play pranks - though I always thought Ray was a bit rough with the girls, but anyway....both Ant and Ray, as far as I can recall, voiced their concern about their families seeing them at their worst. Ray looked as bored/bemused of Jon Tickle's stories/ideas....as Ant did by Eugene's.

Both Ray and Ant seemed to really want to mostly have fun and enjoy their BB experience - for all their flaws, both Ant and Ray seem like genuinely nice chaps. IMO

And the 'true winner' of BB4??

Excellent post Geena, I agree with everything you've said. Anthony is a different person of course than Ray but both are nice blokes with no harm at all in either of them. And I can see the similarities in both their BB experiences as you say. What I liked about Anthony was that he was lovely and genuine to everyone. He wouldn't let Craig slag Eugene off in the last few days remember? He didn't go in for bitching - it's not that he's boring, it's just not his thing perhaps. He was a good laugh and got into the spirit of things. OK he was very cocky when he won BB but he was excited and it must have been overwhelming and then again why shouldn't he be self confident? He's a nice looking bloke, a sound person and he'd just won.

He had time for everyone in there and that must be nice when you're in a house full of people that you feel hate you, to have someone like Anthony to go sit with and know that he'll be a bit civil to you and not slate you the minute your back is turned.

With all that said, I can completely understand people being pissed off that he won. I personally am delighted but I have been disappointed other years when my housemate of choice hasn't won. I don't think Kate deserved to win and I hated her interview. It was a total anticlimax. I didn't want Cameron to win either and was disappointed when his name was announced, however seeing his reaction and then his interview I brightened up and was able to be delighted for him so I didn't feel really let down at all. I had never disliked him in the house though, just would have preferred a couple of others to win.

If Eugene had won I'd be here going mad over it!
