Did you appear on it? I know that he supported you in BB4.

Yes he did, and yes I did.

Unbeknown to me though, there was some kind of argy-bargy and (as is common) destructive and needless false speculation going on because I didn't do it straight away and allegedly one of the people from my agent's office had said I wouldn't do it, which wasn't true.

This is no mean feat - and no little praise, by the way - - - Chris Moyles has to be one of the only non-native Orcadian speakers to effectively master an Orkney accent. His grasp of it is amazing. I have a friend who's not originally from here who can mimic an elderly Orcadian, but Chris Moyles seemed to capture the natural flow and rhythm as well as the accent, and not appear to be doing an impersonation of somebody. I was very impressed.

I remember back when BB4 was on how Moyles called evicted HMs up using sound clips of Cameron speaking and managed to have an entire conversation with Ray without him twigging it wasn't really Cameron, was very amusing! ::lol:: I might be mistaken, but I think he managed a good long conversation with Anouska too, which was more odd seeing as Cameron was still in the house. ::lol::

Ah, speaking of accents, i might as well tell you. When you first came onto BB4, i found out you were scottish, but everytime i heard you talk, you sounded just like a welshman. I was just basically thinking to myself, eh, what the hells going on here. I suppose the people in Orkney all sound welsh ::lol::

It's a common 'accusation' lol. There are many variations on the Orkney accent - parish to parish and island to island - it's fascinating.

My friend is from Aberdeen, and to English people she sounds Scottish, but to Scottish people she sounds Welsh.

I get traces of both in her accent.

Your accent reminded me at times of the Co Donegal accent.

Accents can be a funny thing. When i listen to myself talk, i admit i talk common, but after listening to myself on a recording i had done of myself (quite a few years back), i had this powerful geordie accent, i couldn't beleive it. I never thought i had sounded like that, i was just dumbstruck. I know i have a geordie accent, but i didn't realise how powerful it was.

Anthony refused to do a radio interview because the questions weren't scripted and because he didnt have control over them.

Anthony has been signed up to do an OK! magazine exclusive, so he may have been told that he can't do any other interviews, or it may have been his agent turning the interviews down.

I seem to remember a similar thing happening to Nadia last year and it was her agent who had refused them.

I use quite a bit of slang as well with it. I'm twice as worse as Anthony, for the slang bit anyway :D

I've often said that if a Welsh person and I were chatting, not many people would confuse the accents. Having said that, I've had people from one end of Wales thinking I was from the other!
