If she/he is with a man does that mean they are a gay couple?

Well I don't know but I definitely wouldn't say so. She is a woman now.

Don't have a clue about how it stands 'legally' but surely it wouldn't be counted as a gay couple :-?

I remember reading this topic last year, it got very confusing and in the end was locked. Whatever nadia is - she is a very mixed up person who I don't think will ever be really happy with the way she is.

One of the things about her that I found off-putting last year was the excessive interest she took in the female hms getting naked - Shell particularly. Ok if she is a gay woman it is understandable - but she used to be a man who is now a woman (therefore one would presume has no interest in women sexually) so I found this difficult to understand. It was fairly obvious she fancied Shell - during fight night in her scrap with Vaness (who I am also not sure about). ${

I think I'll go to bed ....all this has given me a headache. ::lol::

Oh please - this is so last year! Nadia is a woman. She was a woman born into a man's body, and went through a hell of a lot to be the 'right' sex - something that most of us take for granted.

(And just because she's a woman doesn't mean she can't be physically attracted to other women - it does happen...)

nadia is a woman so if she is going out with a bloke its 'normal'

if she was be with a woman then yes she would be gay.

personally either way it doesnt bother me, she has the right to be what ever she likes, straight, gay,bi-sexual, its her choice.

I think that Nadia is a gay.

The reason for my thinking is that no matter his/her female identity after his/hers sex-change-operations and life-long receipe of hormone-pills his/hers body doesn't have ovaries and uterus and periods and female bone-structure (just a few examples). (S)He was born as a male in a first place. But that's my opinion, anyway - don't worry!

But basicly I wish that Nadia is living happily ever after as a person, no matter does (s)he have boyfriend or whatever.

I think Nadia is probably bi-secual - likes women at times and if she can pass her self off as a woman likes the attention of men. Either way despite her loud personality I think deep down she is a very trouble - and possible unhappy - person. I never liked her but it is sad anyway.

ps. yes treated in a responsible way it is an interesting topic.

I agree with cc100. I don't understand why people feel the need to categorize everything. What does it matter whether you call her gay or straight or bi-sexual, what use is it to figure it out?

Nadia is thinking like a woman, and not like a man. I think it's okay to categorise things though, say like, gay, bi-sexual, that sort of thing. Mari A, bi-sexual means you fancy women and men :D

Gay, straight and bi-sexual are all concepts, words that describe something. They all have a certain meaning which is not debatable. I never said it was wrong to categorize things, it's obvious we do, I just don't see the point in this perticular case. You could debate it 'till you're blue in the face and still wouldn't know who's right.

When can someone be considered a woman or a man? Where do you draw the line? That's what you need to determine first when thinking about this question. It can be looked at from so many different angles, who's to say which one is the right one?

I would consider a man to be someone who has male genitalia, who shave's every day or whatever, has an adams apple, these sort of things.

So nip and tuck plus a few hormones and you become a woman/ man? Ok, that's one way of looking at it, but there are others too:

Some might say you're a woman when you are leagally recogniced as one. You don't need to necessarily have female genitalia for that.

I understand you might not be leagally recognized as a woman even if you have female genitalia built for you. I don't know exactly what the criteria are.

Some might say you're a woman if you've felt like one all your life, dress and act like a woman.

Everything goes vice versa, of course.

These are just some examples of which way you can look at this issue. So it's not very simple when society is concerned. I'm sure the people that are most sure of how to categorize them are these people themselves. They know how they feel inside. It's quite a sore issue to many and can create huge problems in life for people that are living through this. I'd say compared to all the obstacles people have to get past changing sex, thinking about whether they're gay or straight is quite a small problem.
