What are they supposed to do? Brake them up? No way in hell, they know that sex sells and nothing really indecent was shown. The bottle of pleasure with Kinga crossed the line I guess, it was too obvious what was (of was it after all?) going on.

Am not at all surprised.
Much of Africa is simply dying off due to the HIV-AIDS pandemic - although 'some' still believe it doesn't really exist, go figure !

Anyone having sex with ANYONE who has EVER been to Africa should realise that the odds are they having sex with a killing machine. Wouldn't suprise in the least if missy has it.

I forget what the annual death toll is...actually i'll go check... its 2.3 million a year and the rate is climbing...

 Really? The HIV is a huge problem also in Russia and Asia!

If they would educate women and children in Africa and if western countries would help them to develope their health-care system for women and children (because it's the women and children that suffers from mens irresponsible behaviour in that area of the world) things would change some day! Western countries are also partly responsible of the HIV and other situations in Africa. :-?

Liisi - I'd always like to believe in my heart that well done work will advertise itself better than sex - even that I may be wrong. ;)

I hope this story isn't true, and I also hope that Makosi is clear. I wouldn't wish HIV on anyone.

I hope BB do make the HMs get tested before going into the house, for health and safety reasons. Though I doubt it.

My friend worked for a few years in Zimbabwe, and she says the AIDS problem there is serious. She says that the men go to work in Harare, and sleep around - then go home to their wives and infect them. There just doesn't seem to be the awareness there of the need to protect yourself.

BB make HM's get tested before going into the house? That's a tough one...

I would have thought that anyone who has 'unsafe' sex with a new partner is exposing themselves to potential risks...

In 'real life' people don't have to have an 'all-clear' certification... so I think the same should apply in the BB house. Stay safe - but don't interfere with peoples' civil liberties.

Well Mari the truth is that sex does attract a lot of people. It does also cause offence in certain kind of people, but the majority of people are eather interested or don't care. There are lines that can't be crossed without consequenses and the line was crossed in BB6 for a lot of people. But just look at how much people talk about "poolgate" and Kinga's bottle play.. You might even argue that there's no bad publicity, but that is a debatable argument.

Heres a fact for you, if you donate blood and they detect anything nasty in it they just throw it away and never tell you, so you could donate blood for years and its just going down the drain

'Poolgate' became such a big deal because of the 'did they/didn't they debate... in addition to Makosi saying that she thought she might be pregnant in the Diary Room.

And Kinga's bottle incident? A bit of a storm in a teacup (or a wine bottle) now - as long as she didn't injure herself, it was harmless (and the ensuing debate about potential dangers was useful, at least)..

I think if a couple in BB6 had emulated Stuart and Michelle's 'under-the-table' moment last year, (especially if it was just routine 'under-the-covers' this time) there would have been a lot less media hysteria.

I personally think all hysteria about things like these is hippocritical and basically rediculous. People can always choose not to watch and tell their kids not to watch if they don't like it or find it offensive.

Sex is a natural thing like eating, sleeping and drinking. A bit more private, but natural. Old restrictions about sex are still under the surface controlling our actions and I think people are far too coy about the whole issue. People are locked in the BB house for months, it would be unnatural if nothing ever happened.

Yes - I agree that sexuality is a natural thing, built in all of us. @^@
But sex itself could be far from naturality :puke: in some cases.

I find that whole post quite racist actually, Calrissian. I used to really respect your posts on DS but you dont impress me anymore.

So having sex with anyone who has been to Africa is having sex with a killing machine?? So no one practices safe sex at all? How ignorant are you?

And im glad you 'prefer Asian', I mean you'd never catch HIV from them would you, no it doesnt exist outside Africa.... :8o:

What is unnatural for you, Mari, or me, might very well be natural for someone else. Everything is ok as long as both (or all) of the participants are willing and not exploited. What ever goes on in people's bedrooms (or where ever) is their business. We're no-one to judge even if we couldn't percieve doing it ourselves.

Anyway, we're going off topic here

Don't worry, Liisi, about going off topic - you're having great point of views!
I'm sorry, but I have very limited opinions over sex in public, because we are living far from those days that whole family used to sleep together in the same bed (children and parents) and that must have been horrifying especially to children! Sex shouldn't be too public these days either as it has been back in history, even in reality TV series. Sex in advertising causes a lot of troubles as well with behaviour and peoples body-image, sometimes from children that are 5 years old to adults.

Maybe I see too much in my work different type of bodies than ones that we'll see on the advertisements daily. And I also hate the pressure that's put over the people when they think that they are not normal if they are not sexually active even that they don't want to for example because they are single.

But back to the topic - I don't like the idea if the BB has pressured HM's to have sex in the House before they entered the House. If they have manipulated Makosi (or Kinga) and others as well, that'll make Channel4/Endemol responsible one in the first place :-?

Putting sex behind closed doors creates lots of problems too. Having no knowlege makes people feel they're weird if they want this or that, or makes them settle for something not good for them because they don't know any better. It's never good to hide things or make one of the most natural things in life a sinful deed. It causes lots of twisted, unhappy people.

The topic actually changes if we start talking about body image and sex in advertising. It's a complitely different and important issue too. It goes both ways; advertisement reflects the way of the world, but can also create images in your head about the way you should be. That's actually the point of the whole thing; to create needs to get people to buy so they'd feel they're complete.
