BB losers SASKIA HOWARD CLARKE and MAXWELL WARD are desperately clinging onto their 15 minutes in the spotlight.

I'm told the tacky twosome, both 24, were mobbed by young fans as they watched her brother perform in his school play at Hinchley Wood, South London.

Not quite an opening night in the West End though, is it guys

I know you're the messenger JimD, so this isn't a dig at you...

I don't think that piece is particularly newsworthy, however because it appears to have been made so by the paper can we just defend the housemates in question for a second?

Regardless of our (dis)like for either or both of them, it's hardly surprising that they were 'mobbed' by young fans, is it? And I think it's nice that they were at Saskia's brother's school play together.

I would hardly accuse them of 'clinging' to their X.no minutes of fame by turning up at a family member's school play, and I don't think they would have incited the youngsters to mob behaviour. They can't help it if they are recognised and people approach them for a chat, photo, autograph or whatever.

Just saying!

Agreed, Cameron.

They'd hardly have expected the press to be there for that event, would they?

I always did want you to win, Cameron ;)

Spot on. The Mirror make me laugh... they're only extending their 15 mins of fame by reporting on such an un-newsworthy piece of news!
What next... Saskia and Maxwell are desperate losers cos they sign a till receipt when they go to buy a loaf of bread??

Totally agree Cameron, you saved me making the same point.

What a silly story...THEY were just getting on with normal life, it's the press continuing their 15 minutes by writing about it.

However the odious couple were at the VIP area at the V Festival this year strutting around and posing and then moaning that they weren't actually in the REAL VIP area which is much more selective and where all the true famous people go.

Absolutely, Starlet.

It's beginning to beg the question 'what came first - the column inch or the 15 minutes of fame...?'

Seriously though....why do the press insist on printing articles about people and then rubbish THEM for cashing in???Still if the mirror and its readers think Max and Saskia attending her brothers school play is newsworthy.... :-?

surely its the press who give these people the coverage?

if they just ignored max for example, then he'd go away.

Yeah - but it's sooo much fun building people up and then knocking them down.

It's a much loved British trait, surely?

Him and Saskia seem to have kept a much lower profile than the vast majority of the BB6 housemates. They've done a couple of (individual) interviews in magazines, and appeared on TV once or twice, and that's been it.

He can't stop doing normal, everyday things!
