Short answer is yes.

I hear (via the grapevine spy satellite) that the BB lawyers have had occasion to wave a contract at a former HM or two. The primary example being after Sandy's escape attempt and subsequent 'forced' interview.

If I remember right, we were contractual owned by Endemol for the duration of Big Brother and for 2 weeks after it finished.
Only difference being, during the series, for each day in the house we got £30 a day and after the series finished, for the 2 weeks, if they needed us we would get paid £250 per day.
We also were contractual obliged to turn up at a sponsors event..e.g O2 event

Thanks for the clarification Ray, I knew there were a few handcuffs in the contract but didn't have any details :D

I ask as Derek was adamant he was leaving town on the last Wednesday, but has in fact been doing the rounds like the others have.

Answering the first post, yes. It's all part of the big brother experience anyway all this. I can't really see why anyone would not do these things anyway, you sort of have to really.

I'd turn up for the £250!!

Most of the HMs are quite happy to have continued publicity, surely?
