'Diva' too demanding

JENNIFER Ellison was axed from a Reading Festival beer promotion - after organisers refused to bow to her five-figure pay demands.

I'm told Jen proved she's an up-and-coming diva by demanding as much as £10,000 for TWO hours' work to promote Carling's Cold Beer Amnesty at the festival on Friday.

But festival organisers were only able to offer her half as much, so she was replaced at the last minute by BB beauty Orlaith McAllister.

My insider revealed: "Jennifer was booked for the event but pulled out in a row over cash."

Sources say Jennifer was asking for £5,000 an hour - plus a hotel, on-site parking space 50 metres from the VIP entrance and five guest passes for her family and friends - even though other guests were only allocated two each.

"In the end the deal was called off and Orlaith agreed to take Jennifer's place," said my insider.

Ex-soap star Jen turned up at the hotel anyway after being driven there by her mum with her sister and two pals.

But Jen, 22, got a shock when she found out her hotel rooms were cancelled by Carling after the fall-out over the appearance fee. My mole added: "A hotel was booked for Jennifer - but only as part of the initial deal. When that fell through, the booking was withdrawn but Jennifer was told she would be welcome to come along as a guest. Jennifer was less than happy."

How sad...

Last night, a Carling spokesman said: "We sounded out a number of celebrities to see who was available. We were delighted when Orlaith said she would help us launch Carling Cold Beer Amnesty at the Carling Weekend."

ORLAITH, still getting over the split with her former boyfriend, "had a trail of men drooling after her at the festival wherever she went". But she showed no interest in any of them. Aaaaah...

I've no idea who Jennifer Ellison is (no seriously I don't).

But I wonder if Orlaith is thinking damn... "I'm doing it for £200, wish I'd asked for more?".

Greed is what some of these stars are motivated by. They get so far in this world, and then they think they can demand what they want, but on this occasion, she has been kocked down to size. She must have thought she had become that popular, that she could just pick a figure that she liked the sound of. Good on them for turning her down. Oh btw, Jennifer Ellison played Emily Shadwick in brookside.

Orlaith is doing really well for herself post big brother and fair play to the girl!
