LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Big Brother loser Makosi tonight vowed to fight eviction from Britain after she broke the terms of her visa by appearing on the show.
The former nurse spent today locked in talks with her lawyers after being arrested at the weekend.
The 24-year-old Zimbabwe-born beauty first arrived in the UK in 1999 and trained as a nurse. She had been granted a visa to work at Wycombe Hospital in Buckinghamshire but now faces deportation.
Makosi - whose surname is Musambasi - was stopped by police for not wearing a seatbelt as a passenger in her sister's car over the Bank Holiday weekend. Officers passed on her details to the Immigration Service and she was subsequently questioned.
Her manager, Del Conboy, said tonight: "We have lodged an appeal. She has been in the country for four years and has saved people's lives and helped run our National Health Service.
"Yes, she did break the terms of her visa, but the implications weren't explained to her properly by Endemol, the Big Brother production company.
"Makosi has been advised by her lawyers not to comment on the situation."
However Mr Conboy added: "It's a bit of a shock how this has happened. Since the day after she came out of the show she has been talking to immigration lawyers and we have been doing this for the last few weeks.
"The Immigration Service knew she was in the house for a few months, but have only chosen to do something about it now.
"Rather than through us, her agency, or Endemol they chose to tell the police station to hold onto her. It's a bit weird how it came about, but never-the-less it did."
Makosi came third in the sixth series of Big Brother, behind winner Anthony and runner-up Eugene.
Mr Conboy added: "She would like to return to nursing after a while. Zimbabwe is a difficult place to be and she wants to stay here for many reasons.
"She has a decent way of life and the training for nurses is better. She has two homes; her parents are in Zimbabwe but her sister, cousins and friends are here and she doesn't want to give all that up."
