Are there no limits to the lengths the Big Brother stars will go to for a scrap of fame and fortune? Forget BB3’s Alex Sibley’s cringeworthy Domestos advert – we’ve just found out that Maxwell and Saskia are contemplating getting engaged – in order to secure their new “late-night version of The Richard and Judy Show”.

The saucy show, which has been tentatively-titled Double Trouble, will feature showbiz interviews, dirty games and sexy phone-ins. But producers are concerned that the couple’s stormy romance could put the whole thing in jeopardy – and are insisting that Max and Saskia prove their commitment to each other – and the programme.

So, the gruesome twosome are doing what any other self-respecting Z-listers would do in their place: getting married - or considering it, at least. “They will go to any lengths to get this show,” says an insider. “They’ve already taken TV presenting courses.” Oooooh! We bet Richard and Judy are really worried now…

Sweepstake on how long it will last?? I'm guessing until they've both got their hands on every penny they can (not long then), then they'll divorce and get some money for that too!!!

What was that late night game show that Nick Bateman presented from a portakabin???

I cant remember.

Thats good. :D

Proves the mind works wonders, I think.

Not one for me to watch. I like my telly and do not wish it to have my shoeboot put firmly through it.

getting engaged just to do a tv show together sounds to me that they would do anything for fame.

Or, bearing in mind that the original source of this article is the Daily Star, it could just be a load of rubbish ()^

Btw - it'll make you feel lots happier if you concentrated on posting about housemates you liked, rather than contributing solely to slag off 3 or 4 housemates! Try it, you might like it!

Hmm. A bit unfair I feel given the original post not being entirely favourable. CC is only expressing similar views to those many of us held during and after the series having been subject to plenty of opportunity to see how M & S work. If this board is purely here to glorify and deify former housemates then I'm in the wrong place.

I have said it before and I'll say it again for probably the last time, because I wont come to a board where we cant be constructive and free in our discussions, Im a fan of the show, and like everyone, have my favourite housemates. I wont swear and I wont name call, and as far as I can see CC has done neither of these, only express an opinion on what we are hearing and compare these particular housemates with those from the past who have gone on to have more serious relationships.

But if we cannot express more negative opinions of particular housemates if we dont like the way they seem to be acting, or discuss how they are being portrayed and how we feel about that, then to my mind, we are being more than a little onesided and not really discussing anything, only lauding those people who probably on this occasion, got into the house BECAUSE of their more negative qualities.

If you really believe that the housemates are picked for their warm generous and giving sides, particularly in view of the last two series, then congratulations, because your view on the world is marvellous.

You only need to watch the opening episode of each series and hear Davina list the particulars of each housemate before you can start to pick out which bits of who is going to clash with which bits of who else...

See "Marco and Ahmed" or "Jason and Nadia" if you need to find further evidence of this.

The nature of big brother is not to create a warm loving and glowing community, and it is a gross misrepresentation of that fact to pretend otherwise.

Its been divine darlings. XX

Ooh, how patronising! ::lol::

You've read far too much into my post. I quite understand that part the concept of a message board is to debate / disagree with other members about certain things.
However, it does become slightly tiresome when members respond to every topic on certain housemates with the same old negative comments.
I didn't like the majority of this year's housemates, and if I want to post something negative about a housemate, I will. I'll leave it at that though, cos I'd rather spend my time discussing housemates that I DO like.

Then again, maybe that is just me, being the optimistic type.

I didnt intend to be patronising so I apologise for that. It was late and I was tired and excuse after excuse after excuse...

But, this is not the first time you have had a go at someone for having a go at Maxwell and Saskia. I understand that having met them you have at least some more insight than the rest of us to how they are, but equally, you could spend some time in the company of many of us, and keen to make a good impression, we would be the nicest people in the world.

It doesnt always follow that theres always marshmallow under the surface though. And what's more, a diet of pure marshmallow is not going to keep you healthy.

I dont suppose anyone wants this site to turn into the bitchfest that you can find on certain other sites, least of all me, I like the familiar aspect of it and the friendly nature.

But I have read positive posts by CC and I do try and contribute positive comments myself when theres something good to say about someone. I also dont think what CC said was unwarranted on this occasion.

I dont think you will find many people keen to make positive comments about Maxwell and Saskia, simply because they cant find anything positive to say. People are looking for a real love story in BB, not a manufactured one that may sell some copies of OK outside the house.

Helen and Paul set a very high standard for what the viewers want to see. We like a happy ending. We dont like a forced happy ending though, or being fed a relationship that seems to be media led. I would argue with CC that the Michelle and Stuart relationship was quite media led also (if I wasn't too busy talking to you.)

I work as an admin elsewhere (not the site in my profile, thats my low traffic blog and board combo fest), and I also used to run a site that was the biggest pile of nasty seething horridness directed at celebrities you ever saw, (but also the source of quite hilariously scything wit on occasion) so I know what it's like to have endless people just bitching and causing trouble, (seriously, it was bad enough that we got threatening letters from several celebrity solicitors, and eventually had to shut it down, because there was simply too much rubbish to clean up).

I know how easily it can get out of control, but the way I personally deal with that is to use the private message system to have a word, and to edit the posts that go too far and then eventually ban the persistent offenders or those that really are just in the business of causing trouble.

I understand however, that that's how I deal with things, and has nothing to do with this board. I'm just giving an example of an alternative way.

I realise that every board works differently, I'm just not particularly keen on grown ups having a discussion being publically "ticked off" for expressing what is effectively just an opinion or an observation.

As an admin we look to you (and the FAQs) for how we should be behaving. You set the standard, so to speak. So when you say something, then we respect that because your word carries a lot of weight.

And as an admin, what you apparently just said was "It's ok for me to post negative comments if I feel like it and its someone I dont like, but not CC." You specifically highlighted CCs post when ALL of us, including the original poster, was having a go at Maskwell.

Which isnt exactly fair.

Again, I apologise if I came across as sounding patronising. I really didnt mean to come across that way, indeed, I modified what I was going to say to be more innocuous, I was quite cross when I originally posted. I guess its important to remember that intent cannot be always interpreted when a comment is text based.

Frankly the thought is terrifying!

I'd love to see Derek presenting a show though - I think he would be brilliant at it.

Good post Mrs Mix. I have found that I haven't been posting very much on the hms recently because I feel that if I say something negative about someone elses favourite, then I will have someone having a go at me. Its ok to disagree with someone elses opinion, but I don't think its ok to tell them they shouldn't post something because they don't agree with you.

It wouldn't t surprise me if Max and Saskia would contemplate pulling a stunt like this. I thought Saskia was ok but Maxwell makes me feel sick anytime I hear him or see him on TV. I doubt any show he would he on will be successful.

I think they might have got engaged a bit quick, and like someone has just said, if they are appearing on a tv show, then this is a bit coincidental. Well, whatever they want anyway, but i would have wanted to keep this secret myself.
