Remember a few years back when celebrity couples were constantly falling under the curse of Hello? Shortly after various cheesy-grinned pairings had gushed embarrassingly about one another via the pages of the glossy magazine, many of them hit the rocks. But today we’re wondering if the curse could have reared its ugly head again, this time in OK! magazine. Its victims? Big Brother’s Anthony Hutton and Craig Coates.
In this week’s issue, nestling next to the 51-page celebration of Jordan and Peter Andre’s wedding, the pair are interviewed about their true feelings for one another. Thankfully, Craig’s obsession with Ant seems to have calmed down a little. “As we’re no longer living together, the bond isn’t as strong because we’re not together 24 hours a day,” he says. “But we are still very good friends.”
They’re such good friends, in fact, that they’ve posed for a series of pictures demonstrating all those chummy, masculine things that boys like doing together: playing pool, sharing a piano stool, covering one another in cream in the kitchen, that kind of thing… Sadly, however, shortly after the photographs were taken, the lads had a big falling-out at the TV Quick Awards, when Ant went home with a mystery blonde, leaving a furious Craig stranded in the street.
Then on Saturday, Craig told the Daily Star that Big Brother had been fixed in Ant’s favour because they cut scenes in which he kissed Kemal. It looks like the gloves are off. But Ant’s too busy enjoying himself with the ladies to bother too much about his ex-housemate. As this picture taken yesterday shows, he’s even having to hold two telephone conversations at once in order to keep up with the demand.
