DRAMATIC scenes for a new £4.5 million British gangster movie have been filmed at the Peterborough Greyhound Stadium.
At last night's race meeting, the cast of Six Bend Trap – a comedy gangster movie set in the world of greyhound racing – shot several pivotal scenes of the hotly-anticipated movie.
Among the stars filming at the Fengate stadium were notorious East End gangster-turned-actor Dave Courtney and a bevy of glamour models, including Jodie Marsh, Jo Guest and Storm.
Other well-known celebrities starring in the Guy Ritchie-style movie, include Coronation Street actor Thomas Craig, Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley and comedians Cannon and Ball.
Buxom Big Brother contestant Lesley Sanderson will also make her debut in the film, which is being made by production company Ironopolis.
About 50 actors and cameramen used the stadium to film a scene in which an owner loudly objects to the result of a closely-fought race.
Writer and director Mike McCarthy told The Evening Telegraph: "We picked Peterborough for filming the race scenes on the recommendation of Mick Spillane, a trainer from Skegness, who will supply the two greyhounds for the photo-finish.
"He said it was a first-class stadium, and one of the best places to find a lively crowd on a mid-week evening to provide the right sort of backdrop for the film."
