That can happen - if you find yourself with no change or no wallet or no cash machine nearby. Poor Crai-aig, bet he was embarrassed! I normally try to check I have sufficient funds for the journey before I travel.

I don't understand how it can happen to be honest. Surely adults leave their homes prepared, muggings excepted.

I hope Craig wrote down the name and address of his kind benefactor, train fares can be expensive.

Dont most people? I wouldnt dream of getting on a bus without the money to pay for a ticket. People would think I was two crackers short of a crazy foo!

The only exception to this rule would be if I was out for the night and had to stop at a cash point to pay the taxi driver on the way home, but that would be a rare occurence. And it would be in a taxi, that would be able to take me somewhere to get cash from, that I would be paying at the end of my journey anyway.

If he was catching a train you don't need change, normally notes or a card is what you need.

Even if you're catching the underground you can get a ticket if you only have notes or a credit/debit card.

Hang on.

"According to heat"

I missed that bit.

Thats like "according to heat, Cameron went to a nightclub and got in a fight with a bouncer over the price of a dram and knocked his bow tie a bit asquiff".

I havent bought heat since I said I was stopping, so was this in the spotted section or elsewhere? If its in spotted, then I suspect its all based on user submissions and *could* theoretically be someone having a larf at Craigs expense.

That said. You really should take enough money for your journey. Its important. It saves you walking from a strange place you dont recognise for hours.

I am almost certain it was not a second class return from Dottingham.

Ahh yes, that sounded like a good night and according to a source close to Cameron, the whisky was aged 10 years.

And at last account, somebody in HEAT was accusing me of complaining about the price of drink in Indigo in Aberdeen, a place where I generally am quite flabbergasted at the generosity of the establishment.

If I met Makosi on the southbound platform...here in leafy Hertfordshire..I'd gladly pay for her...a one way ticket - at least all the way to Calais.

Calrissian: very generous at times.
