THE Pavilion Theatre could be half empty for one of its early panto performances.
And it's down to a cancellation by cash-strapped Royal Mail workers.
Each year the Royal Mail has taken a block booking of 677 seats - almost half the 1600 capacity at the theatre.
This year however, Royal Mail workers, who have previously been subsidised by their social club in Springburn, have cancelled their block booking for the December 2 matinee due to lack of cash.
Pavion Theatre boss Ian Gordon said: "The Royal Mail has been coming to the Pavilion Panto for the past 10 years.
"Because Royal Mail has been guaranteed regulars the Pavilion did not take a deposit.
"When we called last week to check everything was still okay we were told it was. Then we got a call to say the tickets were no longer wanted."
As a result, the Pavilion is now left with a massive amount of unsold tickets.
The cast for the Magical Adventures of Peter Pan includes Dean Park and
Big Brother's Cameron Stout.
