TV PRESENTER and former Big Brother contestant John Tickle is urging teenagers in Cumbria to enter a new science writing challenge.

The frontman of Brainiac:Science Abuse is calling on young people aged 14 to 16 with a passion for science to write a 300-word news story about any health or medical advance for the chance to win some great prizes.

The winner will spend a day at the Cancer Research UK press office and record their winning story as a podcast for the charity’s website.

Deadline is April 30. Visit http://www.scinews.org.uk.
