MR Gaetano Kaggwa has become the first Ugandan to be appointed as a Special Representative for the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/Aids(Unaids).
In this role, the popular host of the M-NET African lifestyle television programme Studio 53 and former Big Brother Africa contestant, who is commonly known by his first name Gaetano, will raise awareness and carry out advocacy work on Aids. "I am ecstatic. I am over the moon. This appointment opens up so many other windows. It is an opportunity," Gaetano said in a telephone interview yesterday.
