SUZIE McGUIRE DANCES TO A LIGHTER BEAT

Big Brother star Cameron Stout - who last week lost 1lb - managed to shed 2lb this week, reaching 14st 11lb.

But he's feeling the pressure of being in the limelight as he battles the bulge. The 38-year-old laughed: "I feel like Big Brother is watching me again!

Suzie McGuire's broken but not beaten

STAR slimmer Suzie McGuire is hobbling to her weight loss goal - after falling off a treadmill and breaking two TOES.

But the clumsy Clyde 1 DJ - who signed up to lose a stone in six weeks on our Scottish Slimmers plan - shed another 2lbs before tumbling from the running machine.

Meanwhile, fellow slimmer Cameron Stout proved he was summit special this week - he lost 3lbs by going HILL-WALKING.

The 38-year-old, from Harray, Orkney - who's dropped from 15st to 14st 8lbs - said: "I've been out and about and burning some fat.

"We're now halfway there and I'm more determined than ever to reach my goal."

It was hard in the beginning Christine, yes. But it seems to be getting a little easier. Now I don't sit down with a whole family bag of crisps or a tube of Pringles, just a normal sized bag of crisps if I want a little snack in the evening...

Over 6lb lost now which is almost halfway there. Well, for the first stone anyway...!

Well done ()^ The question is, will you continue with this or will you go back to your old ways and put all the weight straight back on again?

That's the hard part - it's one thing doing it when your weekly progress is noted in a newspaper, but slogging it out on my own might mean I'm more likely to fall off the wagon. I would like to think I can keep it up because I do see a difference.

Maybe we should try a forum weight-off. Not that I'm saying anybody else needs to...!

I'm afraid that if I lose any more weight, you won't be able to see me!! I am desperately trying to put it on!! That may sound easy to you, but to me it is very hard. I am eating all day long, but just can't seem to put the weight on. I can't physically eat any more!! Perhaps I could have some of the weight you have lost!!

Cameron it might be worth considering joining a class.

The two better well know ones are Weight watchers and Slimming world. Both are low fat plans and work towards a healthier lifestyle. They aren't your typical diet but they aim to educate towards a healthier way of eating.

I only have first hand knowledge of Slimming World as my mother has been going for 10 years or more. A lot of the recipes are great and don't look like anything you'd think of being part of a diet. The weekly meetings are more of a get together and have people of all ages ,from teenagers to OAPs ,both male and female.

You could go to the website and enter you postcode to find the nearest class. If they all work like the local one you could go to a class to see what it's like as the new members sign up and have their extra introduction talk after the main class.

It'll be easier with someone monitoring your progress and you have the support of the whole class for ideas ,help and recipes etc.

Sounds like good advice Larry. I'm doing it through Scottish Slimmers and there is a class here for that, although I haven't been to it during this regime.

And I'm sorry to hear that Christine - I would gladly share but sadly it's not as straightforward as that! I wish it was. Hope you get somewhere with it - that can't be easy either.

DJ DITCHES THE FIZZ AND SHEDS WEIGHT

BUBBLY Suzie McGuire ditched the fizz and lost a pound this week. The Clyde 1 DJ - who aims to lose a stone on our Scottish Slimmers diet - was disappointed last week when she partied too hard, guzzling champagne, and put half a pound ON.

So she swore off the booze and now the 34-year- old, from Eaglesham, Renfrewshire, has lost 5.5lbs in total to get down to just over 10st. She gushed: "I wanted a result."

Fellow slimmer Cameron Stout, 38, from Harray, Orkney, also shed a pound. The Big Brother winner has shaved 7lb off his original 15st. He said: "I've still got a long way to go."
