Hey Scotty

Welcome to the forums :D

I think that as long as each time there is a wide range of people on Big Brother it will continue to be strong. The moment the people are boring the show will be too.

Hi Scotty McMash  Welcome to the the forums. It must be difficult to please everybody year after year. I think it depends a lot on the people they choose. For me, I enjoyed BB2 the most and I think that will take some beating, but nobody can ever predict exactly what will happen. That's the best bit about it.

Hi Scotty, and welcome! A fellow Brummie I see!! :D

As far as I'm aware, BB3 was equally as successful as BB1 and 2 (although I'm with Christine in saying that BB2 was the best), so I see nothing stopping BB4 from being as big!

There'll probably be the pre-series backlash, and doubts about the housemates for the first week or so, but that happened last year....

I really hope it's as good, anyway!

Hi Scotty

Welcome to the madhouse *ehem* I mean BBFans. I think BB will always be popular because there are always enough of us sad people around who will be glued. ::lol:: I remember at the beginning of BB2 thinking, this won't be as good.... glued... and at the beginning of BB3.... this won't be as good.... glued again ::lol::

 Hey Ho, Scotty (love that name @^@ )

I'm wondering if the producers/researchers took on board any of the criticism that was levelled at them last year?

My main memory of BB3 was that I spent so long discussing how rubbishy it was compared to the other shows. I enjoyed it a lot by the end I have to admit (even though Kate 'won' :-? )

Hi Scotty! BB3 was rubbish in my opinion and BB2 was the best. Hope they get nicer people in this time but in any case I agree that it is getting a bit old hat. The potential housemates will certainly be clued in. I believe we see less of the 'real' housemates every time. However I live in hope of a decent one this time around ...

As much as I do agree that the format is getting a little boring now its so familiar, I think there is still plenty of scope for fresh thinking and new ideas to be put into the show.

If you look at last year, they tried the rich poor thing and as much as most of us thought it was a bad idea, it did keep the show slightly fresh.

If you look through just the threads on this site alone with ideas we all came up with for new things they could use in the show, they could keep it fresh and suprising for at least 2-3 more series.

BB will always be popular as long as there are people who want to watch it, I mean how manythousands tuned in just to watch them sleep...lol

I had it on in the background at work on webcam, and used to get overly excited if they even had a conversation....yes I am that sad

It'll be around for a while yet, they just need to get a lot better creative team on the show this year....

If anyone from C4 is reading this, myself and a few others on this site would be more than happy to help you out ()^

I think one big mistake was having the eviction shows so uneventful. I mean it was just a recap-break-told whos evicted-watch them for ten minutes. You would think they would kept it the same as BB1 and 2 cos them eviction shows were brilliant! And the finale was quite poor(not housemates thought but producers). Again the previous 2 finales were great so why change the format???

I'm hoping it will be good, anyway it's better than nothing at all and something usually happens to get a reaction, I mean I hated those bars with a vengance last time, but it did give everyone something to talk about. My fav is still bb2 though, so it will take a lot to top that. @^@

I wasn't sure about the bars, but they did seem to cause a terrific amount of bitching and tension. My favourite was BB2 as well.

I think the problem now, is that everyone who enters knows roughly what to expect and they know what happens, so they go in with some sort of game plan.

I'm counting the days till BB4 starts, I love the show.
As matter of fact, I just looove reality TV.
What amazed me about the housemates in BB3, namely, Alex, Adele, Jade, Sandy and Mr tree trunk legs Tim, was the nasty, bitchy comments they made mainly about Jonny and then had the arrogance to think the viewers would think they were right in their behavour towards him. :8o:

I didn't watch much of BB1 or 2 , I only put BB3 on by accident and got completely hooked (can't think what on @^@ )
I'll probably watch some of BB4, just out of interest now, but somehow I don't think it will have the same appeal for me
