Every female in the BB house will be under scrutiny both in and out of the house.

I wonder how long it will take to work out which is the transexual ${

It would make for some interesting conversations though, so I hope she gets in. We need some more interesting characters in this years show.

I think Channel 4/Endermol know that tho. They have to keep the interest going so will hopefully look for more interesting characters.

Oh boy - just been looking at the C4 forum for BB4.

Someone there has picked up on the transsexual being in the house, but the other HM's not knowing.

Then the post goes on to suggest that there could be a Jade/PJ type incident... I'll leave the rest to your furtive imaginations!

As this rumour made a national newspaper front page it must be true ? ${

Also stories going about that the final 14 have been picked, they just don't know who they are yet. 7 potential HM's will move into the house early in May so the camera crews and so on can get their act together before the main event. It's been suggested that there would be 11 'reserves' - no idea where that figure came from.

Other stories suggest a final 30, which would be the 14 to go into the house for real, 7 who will do the dummy run for a week, leaving only 9 as reserves.

Sometime in the next week or so we can expect to hear the first 'leak' about a housemate or two. On the lines of a 24 year old truck driver from Blackpool or a 31 year old male stripper from Brighton etc. There are bound to be some who can't keep their trap shut (like Jade last year) who will then be whisked off to a hotel early - or kicked out even ?

After all the hassle with 'Equity card holders' last year the production team are taking extra care not to have 'actors' who could be exposed as such. They want 'fun' people who will not go off in a huff at the slightest thing but will inter-act with the others to make 'entertainment'.

They don't want the HM's to just sit about all day or leave certain tasks, like cooking, to one or two. The idea is to make mini teams where 2-3 HM's will be responsible for cooking one day, with different people taking over the next - and so on.

Other rotas will cover cleaning tasks, looking after livestock and cleaning the pool. Each housemate should be shown as taking part in this type of activity - no slackers!

Once again, there will be no materials provided for writing with - apart from within tasks - to prevent messages being passed between HM's. Part of the build-up this year is to 'get tough' with the finalists and tell them that they'll get strikes a lot easier if they break the rules.

One final rumour for this message - something 'robotic' may appear in the house...? Apart from the cameras and microwave etc., what else is lurking ?

Note to users of other message boards - please don't rip off our rumours. BB Fans have the exclusive on a lot of things, including Alison popping by and daily use of this board. Strange how many other BB related boards are so quiet so close to the start !

Whether or not these rumours are actually rumours, but on last years BB Australia, the nominations used the points system mentioned (they were also done live on an early evening show, with the presenter and latest evictee talking after each HMs choices which worked GREAT). I really liked it, because giving one person 1 point and another 2 points meant you knew exactly who they didnt like as much.

And the golf buggy too, but probably only because of the position of the BB OZ house (their exit was at the end of the HUGE garden and it was a 1 minute ride down an alley to get to the studio).

AND they had extra HMs entering after a few weeks. I can't quite remember the details but they had a 2nd house with 5 or 6 people, and the public voted for which 3 should enter the main house, kinda like a larger scale BB2 here with Josh.

Security at the BB House is being stepped up, with only 4 weeks before the new series starts the production team are testing a camera that looks out towards the Tesco car park - scene of a few over-eager fans throwing items over the wall last time. This camera will not be 'seen' during the public broadcasts, but is available to the team to assist the security boys and girls should further incidents occur. Big Brother may be watching YOU ! (If you happen to go into said car park...)

In a bid to prevent a 'Sandy' type incident, climbing onto the roof to escape, the upper reaches of the compound area will be treated with anti-vandal paint - making it difficult to get a good hold on the wall. HM's will be told that 'escape is futile' and that they risk injury to themselves if attempted.

New lighting has been installed in the camera runs, to try and prevent HM's from being able to see the shadowy figures of camera crews when lights are turned out in the bedrooms. A low-emission flourescent tube, not unlike those used in nightclubs for making white bra's appear through clothing (ultra violet etc) perhaps? The floor of the camera runs already has 'glow in the dark' markers for fire exits etc. as well as numbers for camera positions.

The manager of the local Tesco has been alerted to make sure they have enough stock of cheap lager and cider to hand during the series.

Oh, AND they had jobs to do in teams last year, like getting up before dawn to bake bread and doing the gardening etc...

They've surprised us every year, so lets hope they've taken note to what has worked in other countries and make this year really spectacular.

More rumours, gathered from other websites...

Talk of a totally different nomination process, with the most and least popular being voted for. Also a suggestion that housemates will have to pick one to be replaced at some point...?

Selection is down to the final 23 from 45, so says someone who claims to have been part of the final 45. His girlfriend is still 'in' - which loses some of the authentic feel of that post. Can't see a boyfriend AND girlfriend duo making it to the last 45 somehow... Claims there will be 14 to enter the house from the start.

Also several flashes of what someone says is the new B4 logo - yet appears to have come from yet another BB related website. That one is doing the rounds of several boards now.

Yet another rumour says that we'll start to see flashes of the BB eye within adverts on C4/E4 from Sunday.

How to watch BB live feeds for free...? Well - someone has worked out that the BBC handled the 'live' feeds last year, the ones which were on the 'net via RealOne, (Yep, that much is true) and that they were looking at a method of transport for the pics this year. A suggestion that 'spare' Freeview channels could be used to relay the pics has been made. Seems that the Beeb have capacity on there. However, can't see that Endermol, would want to lose their share of the cash for the 'net feeds if Freeview channels were used. E4 itself isn't available via Freeview.

This has happened in at least one other country. The Italian BB3 had a boy friend / Girl friend (Pasquale & Victoria).

That's not quite how I put it. The main thread started on the Ch4 BB forum by people who I think wanted E4.
I said that as the BBC was one of the hosts last year for the web streams that they could if they wanted to add the web streams to a couple of their FreeView channels that they don't seem to use much and that they could use it as a method of increasing the take-up of the receivers. Somebody else said about them adding E4 but I pointed out the problems with encryption and the lack of Conditional Access Modules in some if not all of the FreeView receivers.
If the BBC did want to carry the streams I'm sure they'd have to pay Endermol to do it. Plus the web streams would still be used.
After all viewers = money. The more who watch the more who may want to vote and / or buy the merchandise.

Sorry Larry, sometimes the info gets a bit muddled as I read through so much - then try and remember it when doing a summary here.

I stand corrected in what was actually said on the other website.

No problem.

As you say there is so much doing the rounds at the moments it's easy to get things mixed up.

Yup - some of it is very clever, some is bits nicked from other BB's, some is sheer speculation and some of it is plain rumour...!

I've been keeping an eye on several boards, including the C4 forum (where the mods have not yet let me in BTW!) and 'news' is very slow this year. We are less than 4 weeks away from the start and nobody has yet suggested that there will be any kind of rich/poor type situation - without the bars! It could happen. Housemates who don't work together could find themselves going hungry... They either help or they will starve!

Head of household and a seperate bedroom, hmm - I wonder. It has been brought up before, along with the story of Kate Lawler being on standby if Davina goes into labour. That one appears to be true, but I've not seen an official confirmation yet? C4 could have used that on their own site.

An addition to the rules could be that HM's HAVE to spend a given percentage of their budget on foodstuffs, leaving less for booze (and ciggies). They can't buy silly things (like a second hand magazine for a week!) and will not be given too many choices of brands, that would be down to BB's shopper to decide.

I wonder if the local Tesco has got round to putting a £1 coin mechanism on the trollies yet? It was noted that several ended up at the house before, wonder how many made it back to the store and how many are still within the Elstree compound?

And more news/gossip/rumour from the world out there...

E4 are to launch E4+1, as with many other channels offering a 'catch up' and hour behind the main output. Starts in July (oh well, can't grumble too much...?) Alongside this will be a 'lite' version of E4, similar to that which is offered on analogue cable after 2pm each day (not 24 hour) which may end up on Freeview. Also, a new 'high brow' channel called G4 is mentioned. They (4 Ventures) say they have spare capacity on Freeview to do something with. (Found in at least two seperate articles)

The BB4 logo - NOT the silver and blue one that's been floating about various places of late. Foundation 33 are the design company who do the logo for BB and, according to Creative Review (http://www.mad.co.uk), the 'eye' is this time drawn in a full colour spectrum with an optical illusion created through black and white lines going back to the pupil of the eye. Mainly black with a rainbow effect...

The C4 forums are about the only other place I can find regular posts at present - so, a quick email to the moderators later, I've managed to get the nick 'BB4' there too ()^ Just so people know it's me posting there too. I actaully left the C4 forums last year as I felt it was too full of kiddies and topics were being deleted very quickly, as soon as someone posted a naughty word... If that happens again this time I'll probably drop out and stay here instead.

No doubt there will be plenty of other info from the regular message boards and so on - I'm watching and waiting! Wonder how many of the 'rumours' posted here so far will turn out to be true ?
