It has been confirmed that BB4 will start at the end of May with a new-look house and 12 contestants, who are yet to be finalised.

The show is going to return to its original reality format for its nine-week run, without any of last year's gimmicks such as the rich and poor sides.

The producers are looking for ordinary people who will get on well and not play up to the cameras.

The housemates will still have a weekly task to determine their food budget, but the stakes have been increased with the group having to place a minimum 50% bet on the outcome.

We shall still be able to watch the tasks live each Saturday night.

I have to admit I can't believe how lucky I have been with BB. With the first I has just had my 2nd child with BB2 had got redundancy and was pregnant with 3rd child. Last year with bb3 Cody was only a few months old.....this year still 2 pre school kids to look after so hard to fit in any job .......guess I will just have to suffer

Can't see my luck holding out for next year but you never know might win the lottery or something

Christine beat me to it today - I've been off-line preparing my radio show for this afternoon and I always check here first, to see what's new - then go digging.

I was on the Ananova site at about 10:30, just before that story was posted. Ah well.

So, do we take it that's 'official' news? Or more speculation ?

Mind you last year I was on here a lot but I can't see the tv from the computer so didn't watch as much as in past years. This year I have bought a lead for the tv we use for the playstation so I can sit here and watch E4 too

I think this is where I give up on the C4 BB forums - again. A thread was started there, with links to the Ananova and DigitalSpy stories - and the moderators over there killed the entire thread !

The C4 site has no news at all about events, has not been updated for over 2 weeks now, and the mods are killing off any 'news' leaking in their forums - what are they trying to do?

Apart from putting people like myself off using their forum they are trying to stifle real stories, rather than (sorry in advance Bob/Christine) any rumours on Fan sites.

Capital Radio in London has been giving the story out on air, the pictures (and eye logo) look to be the real thing - so what's with C4's forum moderators - the power of 'god' gone crazy!

A BIG difference between some spotty kid making up names of contenstants, and the 'real' news - but they don't want people to know it seems.

I've emailed the 'chat' editor and hope to get a reply as to why they killed the topic, I'm not happy...
