A post on C4's website suggests that they are still on the final 50 - some 'hopefuls' have moved into the house for the trial run, but Big Brother's Executive Producer, Gigi Eligoloff, is quoted as saying "Some people will decide they don’t want to do the show. At the moment, our final 50 are at home considering whether they want to do this or not... In my heart, I already know the twelve people I want in the house, but I also know that, as we get nearer to the first day, some will (be) struck off that list,”
Suggesting that the final 12 are far from final ?

it would be nice to think that by now they knew the twelve who were going in, nut they have to protect themselves I suppose, from people droping out or the papers getting hold of the names of the housemates.
i don't like the idea of a trail run though as i would like may 23rd to be the first day any of them has seen the house...

The 'trial run' happens every year - they put a few people in the house for a week so they can check camera angles, any 'hidden corners' make sure everything functions as it needs to - before the real HM's arrive.

The people in the trial run are NOT the final HM's, but are usually picked from the other hopefuls, giving them a week in the house - more to help the production team sort out any problems than anything.

They do take the bedding, towels and other stuff and wash it afterwards as well...!
