''Can all HMs please leave the Big Brother House''. No not a joke, a distinct possibility if the community local to the Big Brother house at the Elstree studios were to have their way!!!
Neighbours got pretty fed-up with the late night noise generated by the BB3 Housemates, both inside and outside of the House last year. Neighbours were also up in arms about the racket created by the audiences on eviction nights and by the almost constant stream of visiting fans who would shout at the HMs over the garden fence.
Channel 4 & Endemol, clearly worried, have introduced a long list of measures to placate local people who have threatened to stop BB4 in its tracks if their complaints are not addressed.
- HMs to be warned on the importance of being well-behaved neighbours- HMs to be 'punished' if they make too much noise.
- Soundproof shield placed around the BB4 House.
- £2000 to be paid by Endemol each and every week to cover the cost of extra policing for the area.
- Audiences to be cleared from the local area by 11pm.
Local residents are hopeful that measures such as these will make a difference, preventing some of the noise pollution created during BB3......'' Hopefully, it won't be like that again''.... says one community leader .....(but)....If it is, we would demand the closure of the Big Brother House.''
