If you're looking to return to a topic that was here - but has vanished - it may have been moved. Chat about Housemates should be in the Housemates forum...

The problem with trying to categorise topics mean people end up having to check different boards all the time, and also make a decision where to post.

Surely moving posts about housemates from here just leads to people getting frustrated when they check back looking for a thread.

One main forum where different subjects can be discussed is the way to go, otherwise you will just end up getting involved in arguments about whether a moderator should have moved a thread just coz they thought it was 'off topic'.

I've seen it too many times before on other boards.

I can't see why posting about housemates on this board is a problem. If it is, what are we supposed to be posting here?

Also if you go to the page where it lists all the different forums, it says this about this board:

General Big Brother 4 Chat
Come here to have a general discussion about anything to do with Big Brother 4

The key phrase there is "anything to do with Big Brother 4".

It would be wrong for anyone to move posts just because they think it should be on another board if the post is "anything to do with Big Brother 4"

Actually im with the mods...theres different sections for a reason, as long as no one gets shouted at for posting in the wrong place wheres the problem? I think it makes for easier browseing rather than having to go through 4 pages of new threads everytime i log on i can just go to the sections i want etc.

If you want to visit different boards that's fine, but if someone takes the time and trouble to post on the main board it should not be moved. As has been pointed out this is a board to talk about "anything" BB related. It is not for the mods to decide how to categorise posts if they are BB related.

I for one rarely visit the other boards, and it creates a better forum to try and centralise everything.

Even if it does get busy, you are still clicking on the same amount of threads no matter where they are if you want to read them.

well I just click on 'view posts since last visit'.....don't even notice what category they're in, and I comment on what I read.
If people get shouted at for posting something in the wrong place then that's gonna be a bit off-putting for them, especially newbies.
As long as people don't post obscure things out of the bluest blue for no reason, I don't see what the big deal is.

Actually it is, do you not understand the concept of moderators? Thats exactly what it is they are meant to be doing.

The board says that this forum can be used for "anything" BB related, therefore mods shouldn't be moving ANY threads which relate to BB to another forum. Change the forum description before deciding where people's posts should be, otherwise its unfair on those who take time to post.

Your just nitpicking to be awkward, the mods can do as they please and they dont need your permission or demands that the board be changed to suit your preferences.

Surely the only ones who are changing things to suit their preferences will be the mods if the move anything BB related from this board. I found it very frustrating the other day locating a topic that was once on here. If it was off topic, ie NOT BB related then fine, but it wasn't.

The moderators do a very good job, and I doubt most of them want to move anything from this forum. To those who have, I hope they now realise there is no need.
